I wasn’t a huge fan of the season finale. It was good, but it didn’t feel conclusive at all. Regardless I loved it and can’t for season 2.
I couldn’t figure out if Rue is dead or what. Maybe the entire ending was somewhat her relapsing and just going back into that life. Or she died? Because a lot (or all) of her narration is past tense.
A season 1 finale of a television show is never supposed to feel conclusive. Especially when season 2 was already ordered
I liked it but the musical shit at the end was a little odd and that entire scene was hard to decipher. Not sure if it was just the relapse or death or what. Obv can’t imagine it being the latter with season two coming.
I didn't take it as she was dead. I took it as she wasn't ready to leave her old life behind despite it not being what or where she feels alive.
- Fez coming through in the clutch - Rue relapsed, the ending sequence was a manifestation of her being high - Maddy has the video of Nate’s Dad, feel like that will come into play S2
There are plenty of shows that have a conclusive ending after season 1. It’s why you end some subplots, in order to introduce new stories, new characters, etc.
they're not, but it's interesting to think about. Especially with content these days, and if she was still around the show basically as a ghost. She has been the narrator and the season explored all the characters and not just focused on her. But, yes, she isn't dead
Forgot to mention it after my initial watch, but Rue fantasizing of emptying a clip into a flame-engulfed Nate was pretty great.
Just watched the first episode of this and I can tell it's dark, i mean this is some heady shit. I'm on the second episode and looking forward to where this goes.
Yeah I had to look into this a bit as well since I don’t know much about the dude (and since it wasn’t on his wiki page). https://www.google.com/amp/s/variet...inson-opens-up-drug-addiction-1203233881/amp/
I did not, nor did I know the actor was as well. Which I honestly kind of like, since being trans is not a trans persons entire personality.
