Figured we should get this kicked off with qualifying starting soon. Speaking of which, holy fuck have they made that process as convoluted as possible. link
end of that Norway / Sweden game was just fantastic sport. find the highlights somewhere and watch them
lolwut? Denmark came back? I changed over to the S/N match because it was 3-0 with like 10 mins left...
What are you doing in Norway? my friend who moved up there was there too. sounds like it was a lot of fun.
Professional services/consulting. Stuff is definitely expensive but salaries are fairly high (compared to Canada). Subsidized lunch at work helps the food cost too.
Yea saleries are great up there. but a fucking cucumber is like 8$ I find it hilarious. I live in an expensive as shit country and still prices arent even close to that shit.
The ticket application portal opened today- has anyone used that in the past? Any feedback on going that route?
For the first time in a very long time I have some hope for Italy. They are fun to watch under Mancini
We applied for a few games in 2016, in Lens and Lyon, IIRC. Didn't get anything in the first few rounds of the lottery, so we changed our travel plans to include Bruges instead of Lyon. Three days after we finalized our lodging in Bruges (and Canterbury) the ticket portal told us "congratulations, you're the proud owners of four tickets to Portugal-Hungary in Lyon." We sold the tickets on their exchange for face value, so it wasn't any cost to us. Unfortunately, we missed out on the most exciting match of the tournament, one that Portugal needed to tie to advance, and Ronaldo scored two to get the 3-3 tie. In years past the ticket lottery has favored home fans, or fans of the particular teams playing, but I don't know how they're doing it this time around since the matches are being played all over the continent. Just to cover our bases, wife has contacted her distant family members who live outside Munich to help us get tickets for the games to be played at Allianz Arena. (and we applied for a shitload of venues today)
Germany steal it late. Amateur hour on that Romanian wall. Looked like the guy moved his leg out of the way to let the ball through.
Just looking at the Germany, Spain and France lineups makes me realize how far behind the USA and Chile are now. They are loaded with talent that’s already starting at the major European leagues.
Spain is just too good but they also brought everybody. This would be a different story if France had Mbappe and Dembele.
