Gotta be frustrating as an England fan, to see how good they can play going forward for 10 minutes, only for the coach to pull the team back in a shell again
honestly, it’s like when those old crotchety dolphins fans celebrate the last remaining regular season team to lose. Lame as fuck. Nobody cares what happens before the majority of fans were alive
So they just won the Euros. Their women won the last World Cup. And I’m pretty sure their men’s youth team is the favorite or near favorites for the Olympics.
Maybe this is a hot take, but I’m not sure there’s a better player in Europe right now. Wild that Spain went from Busquets to him. Must be nice.
Friend is visiting wife's family is Seville and watched game with huge crowd. The win will make his trip. Her family would have been bears if they lost lol
if youre into wild, baseless rumors (like me): https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...rnandinho-Pep-Guardiola-England-man-city.html https://www.teamtalk.com/news/man-c...d-england-job-after-leaked-talks-are-revealed
Spanish fan at the bar just put it best: Spain treats every date like a chance to fuck, England waits till the fifth date
England were saved by Jude of being out in the group and Saka being out in the quarters so the xG stats aren’t really surprising.
Hopefully, for Englands sake, they realize there is a different way to play. That they can go try to win games, rather than try to mirror Deschamps France teams(who would be labeled real underachievers without the win in Russia). Obviously kicking Kane to the curb is a start but the whole point should be take advantage of the truly special talents they do have upfront.
I think if they play Ollie, or probably even Toney, their system works a whole lot better. Kane just drops far too deep into the midfield for their system to work. Toney would provide them hold up play, Watkins is a willing runner to stretch the back line away from midfield. Pick and choose base on opponent and they seem set.
In theory, yeah, but as soon as they equalized Gary turtled back up. They play anti-football, and will continue to do so regardless. Thankfully the counter-terrorists won today.
For sure. But I’d say with Ollie he at least offers an outlet to play the ball behind on a counter attack.
