No I just don't like this (which has been plastered all over the internet but I don't watermark so I guess that's my bad)
In all honesty it's actually pretty funny because the location was the north bowl which was mainly ksu people so we all used those and I'm sure ku fans got toilets
Someone has never had the joy of using the restrooms in the glorious Rice Stadium Plastic port a cans would be a huge upgrade
Sounds like we're gonna spend another ~450 mm on the stadium. Going to upgrade everything and build an entirely new south end of the stadium. Goddamn it if we don't win it won't be for a lack of spending close to a goddamn billion dollars on facilities in the first half of the 2020s to make it happen.
There are probably kids all over Nebraska not reading at a third grade level who could use that money.
We have excellent public schools and don't use any of our school money on sports because we're not poor.
Texas is #35 in public school education. Nebraska is #7. Nevertheless you see very large football stadiums at high schools in Texas. Curious. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings/education
What I'm saying is we wouldn't know what it's like to have to choose between spending money on public education and spending money on football. We just do both because our penises are huge and girthy.
With that said, never underestimate the desperate actions of a once great program dying to be relevant again.
I guess I just wonder if a progrum that is not good and probably never will be again couldn’t find another way to spend these American dollars.
If it makes the thread feel better our AD often sends millions of dollars back to the university for funding as well. Because I know that's what you are all concerned about.
It will be interesting in twenty years or so to see how these unis spend this completely unearned and unnecessary tv money. Im guessing it won’t be a pretty picture.
I'm just happy we're not robbing childrens hospitals or doing welfare fraud to put in new urinals ya know
In two weeks KU officially starts phase one construction replacing the west side + north bowl. Also adding a building connected to the north bowl. Only 30 years late..
All the poors that have had their seats inbetween the 20's for decades while not increasing booster donations has pissed off a bunch of poors cause they're being relocated. The the new club level construction starts soon along with our Football Only Facility
We have the same problem. All of our olds complain they don’t get to keep the 50 yard line front row seats they’ve had since 1975 while donating $200 / year yet they are the first to complain about everything.
I think it’s funny how EMAW always acts like there is such a huge rivalry. I’ve just never really seen it outside of being in the same state. Sure I guess it’s good natured like you make fun of your little brother but I’ve always seen our real rival as Mizzou.
Their biggest crowd this year was 25k for PSU but they often fill it for Iowa, Nebraska, OSU, etc. so a little surprising that it's that low.
Shouldn’t the B1G demand higher capacity than fucking 35k? That’s not even a decent HS stadium in Texas.
anyway I guess if you haven’t beaten your rival since the Bush administration (and only five times since the first Bush administration), it’s natural to pretend they’re not your rival
They're getting to the bowl end of the stadium. Pretty wild/exciting to me that this is actually happening Spoiler
