I don’t expect they will be fired. Firing now admits it was a mistake to keep them last season and throwing in the towel for this season. Suspect we’ll have to go a few more games. Plus we have fans who say things like this kid said to me yesterday “I’m not giving up hope yet, for a half we were putting it together and beating the Cowboys! We just need to put together for 4 quarters”
Prior to yesterday teams were 440-0 when scoring 39+ points and having 0 turnovers. Congrats to the Falcons on on being 1st in something!
So what do you think was going through the hands teams' heads? Kicking from the side with no tee really threw them off that much? I'm thinking the front guy had a brain fart and everyone else just followed him, including fucking JULIO of all people. I have never seen a professional sports team collectively have a brain fart like that. Especially in such a big spot. I will admit I was confused in the moment wondering why they weren't going for it, thinking to myself that maybe I forgot the rule that they can't touch it. Just completely inexcusable as a staff to not have your guys prepared like that. I'm guessing we just never practice receiving an onsides kick because Quinn never thought we would have a lead this year. Fire Quinn/TD and promote Koetter. That should guarantee a top 5 pick. Hire Bienemy first day of the offseason and draft the best defender available. We are stuck with Ryan another couple of years. Only way to get rid of that contract is to package it with picks and we better not do that.
If you think they haven't practiced that, wait until you see them screw up taking a knee to run the clock out while they have a lead.
The first guy who was right on the ball definitely thought it was a better idea to let the ball die because it didn't look like it would travel 10 yards. I think everyone else followed him like you said.
Great so there's what, Grady, the rookie and 9 scrubs playing defense? Letting it slide that it's not a week 2 pic
Cowboys fans talking any kind of shit after yesterday is just sad. That team is a giant fucking mess too right now.
Probably? Lebatard show opened up with Falconing is the new Clemsoning. He tried to spin it and say at least there is hope it can be turned around. I just hope we can fire all these clowns that are wasting all this talent on O.
Winless teams through week 2 tracker: AFC- Jets Dolphins Broncos Bengals Texans NFC- Giants Eagles Lions Vikings Falcons Panthers Monitoring this already
My concern is looking at the next 7 games, the only team that appears to be decent is GB (not sold on CHI at all). Every other team is probably worse than us which is saying a lot. I will say tho that if we lose to CHI we are almost certainly 0-4 which will get everyone fired.
Vikings seem to always beat us. I'm hoping Chi, GB and Mn all beat us. Maybe split with Panthers. Then lose twice to both No, TB. Chiefs is an L. Lions, Broncos, Chargers and Raiders idk
CHI defense is nasty. Their O is trash but I’m sure they will hang 35 on our D. Carolina sucks so maybe a split there Lions are terrible so I’ll say a W there I honestly can’t find 3 wins on the schedule but I’m sure we will go 7-9 and draft 15
Will we lose to the Panthers both times? If CMAC is out, I don’t see them winning a game. Their schedule is rough. Meanwhile, we will likely beat the Bears, Vikings, Lions, Panthers. if we can’t get Bieniemy, I also am interested in Kellen Moore and the 49ers DC Robert Selah.
I’m not sure who I would prefer as HC, but whoever it is please for fucks sake hire a good DC. And if we someone how end up with a top 5 pick, who the hell do we draft? We are stuck for a few more years with Ryan due to his insane contract. Lawrence and Fields are going top 3. Is there a defensive player worthy of a top 5 pick?
Its a deep ass CB class as well, I'm sure we'll be looking for another one of those after Oliver gets toasted all year
Sewell is the best left tackle prospect in years Parsons is a safe pick Top corners are Shaun Wade (OSU), Paulson Adebo (Wash) and Patrick Surtain II (Bama). I like Surtain out of that group DE Gregory Rousseau (Miami) had a great sophomore year but opted out this year. He barely played his freshman year, so I say pass on this one hit wonder.
Ed Dodds has to be our primary target for GM. I think that’s more important than a coach. Our salary cap situation is abysmal and we have been horrible with draft picks lately
