Ryan at least threw to Pitts in the endzone and he drew a flag since he's damn near uncoverable. That drive was at least a little more creative than most of the earlier ones.
Saw a state somewhere yesterday (was it in here?) that Sewell hasn't allowed a sack at his spot since like 2018. Definitely don't need that
I get that we're not going to be a good team clearly, but do you think a new coach with some young players are seriously going to give up already three games into the season?
Yep, 3 games into a new staff's tenure I'd be wayyy concerned if the team rolled over. It's already been concerning enough how bad they looked at times so far, which I'm more than happy to mentally blame on the bicyclist's eye for talent a good while longer. It was good to see them fight and win that one.
My desire for a top 5 pick is usurped by my kid’s desire to see the Falcons win. I tried to get him to use a different metric for success but no dice.
We all had to learn the harsh reality the hard way. Just make sure you are there to support him when he finally sees the truth. Maybe find him some support groups or something.
I can give him some leeway since he got shoved by the defender when he was trying to being it down but Zacchaeus and Ridley both had bad drops. Patterson is balling out.
Zacchaeus was especially bad, just not concentrating enough. I love Harry Douglas but he had several of those as well where he would start looking up field before securing the ball.
Yep, it's not completely his fault since it seems like the O-Line just gives up whenever they call a running play for him, but he's done so much less than Patterson this season.
I can't believe they threw a flag even if it technically was hitting the quarterback up high, that was a very very very weak hit though.
Not going to help getting what this team needs in the draft though. Just hard to see them being able to do what Smith really wants without an overhaul on the OL.
In that series, there was a BAD missed call on the Washington offensive line that should have been holding. One of our defenders was literally getting dragged to the ground by his jersey, fucking refs.
Figure that out later. I have no desire to watch this team tank for draft pics. I want to see a new culture of players that want to win
Such a good game by the offense to get squandered by some bullshit horrible defense. Running the ball with Mike Davis to try and burn clock was a terrible decision but letting Taylor Fucking Heinicke pick apart your defense like that is embarrassing.
