Falcons drafting a DE? He will be out of the league in a few years
Guess Jarrett isn’t getting traded
Yea the other edge player in this draft out of Penn St
So we now trade up for Willis or Dean?
Looking like they wont needed to if that's the direction they want to go.
Dean take Dean
Or Montana state lb
I’m going to have to be talked into accepting that pick
I can’t wait to see someone try
It’s a start. But I am still not sold.
Oh they will. The masses did it yesterday.
I really wanted o-line or DT with the talent left on the board
"Will need to improve his physicality. Sometimes looks like a qb playing lb. "
Another edge, DT or OL would have been preferred but what do I know.
This guy is going to own on special teams
To me, this screams bust. Can’t tackle as a linebacker after playing four years in college. Ain’t good
Nakobe Dean is going to be an absolute monster and haunt us for years
I typically look for linebackers who have trouble tackling. Always a desirable trait
Really a baffling pick.
clearly the guy is an athlete but I’m not sure what he is going to do for us other than special teams.
It just feels like Atlanta can never do the easy thing, the consensus thing. Whenever there is nearly universal agreement on 1-2 top guys, we'll jump for some distant 3rd choice instead. Our GMs are the real life equivalent of the fantasy guy who starts taking "sleepers" in round 2
not that this is a measure of anything, but I bet mock drafts have a terrible track record with the Falcons
Maybe he will take over as qb
I had convinced myseld that Willis was a good value here.. Well we took a qb, but a white and intend to play him at lb.
The ppl who will love this Falcons draft loves the Vic Beasley pick
Arthur should fire everyone and turn on autodraft. I suspect he's a dipshit too though.
We had our choice of options and went for the Fedex CEO fuck boy who was Dan Snyders bitch
We just took Ridder.
Is it time to lock this thread and we all go our separate ways?
My only guess is that the falcons didn’t think Johnson, Williams, Wilson, Dean, or Willis would be available when they picked so they just didn’t evaluate them
You guys are weird. How often do these guys that fall like crazy turn out to be good? Everyone in the league is passing on them, not just us
Also for the record, ridder was my fav qb in this draft
I don’t like the Ridder pick
Ridder was getting passed on too
What does that have to do with anything? My point is, that we have no idea what we are talking about. They are drafting the positions we want, just not the specific players. Maybe we are wrong
Like Malone, really good tools to work with
Never even crossed my mind
Am I an Eagles fan now?
It has to do with you saying guys that get passed on turn out to be underwhelming draft picks. And you stated that Ridder is your favorite QB of the class. Well, he went in the third round, so he was getting passed on. I’m sure you see my confusion now
Like the wku kid. We could have drafted same position and different kid each round and I would have been ecstatic.
When did Rich McKay start posting here?
I don’t know why I keep arguing, we are drafting high upside dudes at positions of need. You guys don’t want to be competitive next year anyway. Let the kids develop a year. Guys like this turn into good players all the time
I think it’s safe to say we are all beyond worn out by this franchise.
We did target the right positions but it’s impossible not to when we need immediate help at literally every position.
Anderson was drafted 100% on traits bc even his best HL are simply just OK. There really isn’t much great tape at all. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t but a falcons fan being skeptical of a small school honkey is completely justified
Arnold E has really good tape and measurables. This was a very very good pick
