I personally think the off-season has gone about as well as it could. If nothing else, we’ve given ourselves the luxury of going bpa in the draft. I prefer edge or OL, but fuck it bijan would be cool too at this point
I just dont see our path to another franchise QB like Ryan/Vick as it stands, and its hard to see us being very consistent without one. I guess Im not a believer in Ritter yet Robinson will be fun too watch if hes the pick. At this point we've already passed on multiple needs for a TE and WR recently so why not add a RB next
Seems like this is probably more of a numbers thing than a tell about what they're going to do at 8. Otherwise, why not wait another week and see what you get? They just brought in two other corners, one of which they're paying 9-10 million and another 3-4.
Read a few mock drafts this morning and a few are stating that Bijon is the betting favorite to the Falcons at 8
It's going to be weird being OK with this considering a few weeks ago I was banging the drum on going defense heavy, especially in round 1, in the draft.
Kind of feel like if we can come away with some grouping of 3 of these players we have a shot next year Round 1 Would love Will Anderson but he will be gone. Hope that Phoenix win was worth it! Tyree Wilson Christian Gonzalez Weatherspoon Skornski Paris Johnson Joey Porter Jr Round 2 Emmanuel Forbes Dj Turner Keion White Will McDonald Felix Anudike-Uzomah Steve Avila (TCU) Derrick Hall Round 3 Isaiah Foskey ND Dawand Jones Zach Harrison Matthew Bergeron 'Cuse Cam Smith (SCar) Trey Palmer (NEB) Darius Rush feels like if 3 of our first picks are some combo of an edge, a corner, an OL and/or a WR, we would be in pretty good shape from a roster standpoint for the first time in a while. With that being said I look forward to us Falconing everything up and drafting Anthony Richardson lol
Happy to not see Bijan in there. Feel like I've been taking crazy pills with the amount of people being ok taking a RB in the 1st.
Only way you take Bijan in the first if you trade back into the late first round. Would be stupid but think that the betting offs had falcons taking a DE first and then we’re betting favorites to land Bijan in the first round. Which would indicate a trade up later.
100% I'm a homer and Bijan is a very special talent, but there's no way in hell you take him at 8 given how the run game started really coming together at the end of the season for the team.
Who is coming up to 8? Washington if a QB falls? Detroit? Houston at 12 bc they have two 1s next year? would love to add a 2 this year for someone to come up and get a QB
I dont love it or anything, but I get it. What position has more value in Arthur Smith's offense than RB? Seems like getting the best back and a top 3-4 player in the draft is a good idea to me. I'd rather go edge or CB or probably even OT, but I also dont see why we'd be against it. It is also funny to me when UGA fans are against it since everyone wanted Gurley so much
This is the part that scares me into thinking we'll actually do it. I get it as well but I just can't get on board with a RB that high with our other holes. They said, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either given our system
Darnell Washington seems like he would be a good scheme pick at a later pick. If we’re going to run two TEs, he is also basically an extra OL on the field too. I would like to add him but since they signed Smith they probably won’t
Gotta feeling there’s gonna be some chaos tonight with the early picks. No telling who is going to be available for us
Very optimistic there will be some really good players available at 8. Not very optimistic that we will draft them.
What’s the one player that would piss everyone off? I think taking a qb is the only thing I won’t be able to get behind
I just meant a later pick than our first one, so either trading down/back up or picking him in the 2nd. I wouldn’t be shocked if he doesn’t make it to us
There are 4 good defensive players on the board so we are gonna fuck this up and take Levis aren’t we
Great so now we have a first round rb te and wr with a dogshit defense and somebody at qb. What a terrible team
the worst run franchise in sports first Kyle Pitts too high, then Drake Londons bum ass who will never be fully healthy, now the worst value position in the draft. only way it could have been worse is one of the Iowa whites.
Feel like in hindsight, this was always gonna be the pick. great player, but there were higher areas of need with equally talented players left.
Someone posted in here the other day, but this is selecting Gurley when we passed him up in his draft. I really don't know what to think.
