Fuck yes, minus some huge penalties the defense looked good. Bijan definite looks like he's been well worth the pick
He’s probably the best rb in the league. That still doesn’t change the fact this team is probably winning 10 games and losing in the wildcard game in the playoffs. I guess if that’s the goal it’s a great pick. The pitts and London picks are way more questionable given what our offense is
This. I love watching him, but with all the RB drama this offseason that pick was always going to be criticized
This man might be mid but he’s impossible to not pull for. Hope the downfield passing game develops bc our running game is preposterous
I don't think its crazy to say he is the best rb in the league already, I just don't see anyone else with those runs especially the first 2 in that clip
Drake looked pretty good yesterday, but given Ridder and the offense they aren't going to both light it up it looks like this year.
I don't even really question if Pitts and London are great players, they probably both are. They just don't have the value in our offense relative to where they were drafted. We are essentially wasting their rookie contract. I am going to be even more confused next week when CP comes back and we have 3 rbs on the field
No we just need every team we play this year to drop two easy INT’s like the Packers did and we will be fine.
Yea that’s exactly what I meant. They are good players, just not used enough to justify the draft position. we do need a #1 receiver regardless, though. drake does look good when given opportunities. Maybe it’s just pitts that seems like a wasted pick.
If ridder leads us to the playoffs, I feel confident we roll with him next year too. My biggest worry is that we get into a Matt Ryan situation where he’s mostly good enough to pay, but probably not good enough to actually win a Super Bowl
Buddy, Desmond Ridder isn’t (and I doubt ever will be) in the same stratosphere as Matt Ryan. You aren’t going to have to worry about that.
I don’t even hate Ridder or anything and think he could be pretty good but he’ll never come close to being Matt Ryan good. Our fans mostly hated Ryan tho so I can’t imagine what they’ll think of Ridder
What this guy says. We are too flawed to make anyone believe. It's depressing, but with an avg-ish qb like carr we make real noise this year. Ridder is a liability (at this point), anyone who watched the game sees this. Cool that he is a rah-rah guy and all that but...
Drake IS a #1, we need a functional passing offense for that to be evident. DJ Moore is also a #1, and the bears suck so hard he rarely looks like one This happens. Frequently.
I like Ridder. I think he will improve as the year goes on. I can’t get over Micah Parsons being on the board when we took Pitts.
I’m glad we aren’t paying a midget like Bryce. Ridder is on my shit list right now. His INt was one of the worst throws I’ve ever seen live. Might as well been a punt.
You mean the one where Kenny Clark hit him on his follow through? That wasn’t even his worst throw of the game
Guy, Matt Ryan was ass his whole career. He won mvp because of Shanahan. Ridder could absolutely be as good of him. He’s not yet though. It’s still really early
Is this trolling? Shanahan was only here two of Ryan's fourteen. He needed good coaching I don't doubt, but several of the years here he had at least a somewhat decent OC.
And what did we win those years without Shanahan? Ryan was the worst kind of qb to have. He’s too good to cut and replace, but wasn’t good enough to win anything. So we had to pay him like an elite qb, but he never really was one. I don’t think that’s debatable considering he never won anything
Harry Douglas personally cost the team a trip to the Super Bowl and spoiled a great Matt Ryan season without Shanahan's coaching.
