The entire offense is so bizarre. The game plan, the personnel packages, the play calling. Nothing makes any sense except we have terrible coaching
Yep I'm done with this coaching staff. The QB play isn't completely on them but the defense shitting the bed is
Gaknight- loudly announces oh Damn KJ Osborn got murdered. Minnesota fan next to me nudges me and is like thats his family right there. proceeds to watch his mom cry my baby please tell me that he is ok with my foot in my mouth for 5 minutes. also fire Arthur the coach and the owner
I missed it this week but apparently Kurt Warner shit on Arthur Smith's play calling, Smith was an ass about it, and then Kurt brought the receipts.
It’s really not though. We still easily can make the playoffs with how bad our division is. We have to get rid of that loser mentality. I no longer believe in smith, but it’s not time to give up yet. It’s time for them to prove us wrong.
I do think you have to give Dobbs a lot of respect here. With the circumstances, that dude had an all time performance yesterday. We gotta tackle better, but he was turning disasters into huge plays
We can certainly make the playoffs, I just hope that we don't pretend it is some major, significant accomplishment if we stumble our way in at 8-9 9-8 and get blasted in the wildcard.
The Falcons can make the playoffs because the NFC South is an unmitigated dumpster fire. Getting to the playoffs and immediately getter embarrassed does nothing to help the team moving forward other than a perfunctory pat on the back from being the least worst team in a shitty division. Another year passing on a legit QB prospect just sets things back another 2-3 years minimum.
Brutal loss yesterday. I left after the took the final lead, but I think Gaknight stayed until the end. All of the good vibes from early in the season have gone away. This team isn't deep enough to handle the loss of Grady Jarrett and Drake London. Outside of those glaring injuries, people crap on the defense, but I think it was fine yesterday. The problem was that they were on the field too damn much and were just gassed when it mattered most.
This. Defense has been fantastic all year. Very hard to ask them every single week to be the only reason we stay in games. Need to let Terry Fontenot choose his guy to be the HC.
I don't agree with it being a loser mentality. It's clear Arthur Smith isn't the answer and we don't have a franchise QB. Winning our division when we have no shot of advancing in the playoffs does absolutely nothing for the franchise and continues to set the clock back on us actually competing while further extending Smith's time as HC. Trying to compete now with a roster that wasn't ready to do that is what got us to this spot in the first place. It's past time to blow it up.
The amount of times you have our best players on the sidelines in big situations is the most inexcusable part. Arthur Smith is a know it all asshole who has never been in a room with anyone as smart as he thinks he is and its beyond frustrating. Fuck him and fuck Arthur Blank for enabling it.
If the team keeps playing like this, losing to a THIRD STRING QB THAT JUST GOT TO THE TEAM, y'all don't need to worry about tanking, that seems to be basically happening. Saints will be motivated to play us, I can easily see them beating us twice.
Calling for a tank is absolutely loser mentality. If you can make the playoffs, you make the damn playoffs and see what happens. There is no way to predict how a draft will work out and look how many qbs bust. The class “amazing” a few years ago with Lawrence, Wilson, lance, Jones, fields… how many of those guys you want now?
It's an odd thing to say if their isn't something going on behind the scenes. And credit where credit is due, when Ridley took his leave of absence he was extremely respectful of it.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I saw this today: "Through 9 games, Tyler Allgeier has out-carried Bijan Robinson 116 to 103" I knew it was bad, but just wtf
1st and goal + 1 yard line -jet sweep to Jonnu Smith no rain 2nd and goal +1 yard line -wide zone to Allgier Just as hideous a sequence as exists in the sport. I loathe stretch inside the 5
Those were 2nd and 3rd down. First down was from the 6 after a false start. So they ran a play that gained 5 yards to get to the 1 and then went jet sweep with Smith, which is even worse imo.
Feel like that one from the week before was even worse. Get the fumble to start the game, then straight nice plays of 3/5/4/12/5 yard gains. At which point on 2nd & 5 at the 7 they they dial up that Jonnu to Pruitt pass. A guy who's never thrown a pass in 7 seasons to a guy who's averaged like 10 targets per season over 9 years in the league. And of course he overthrows him by a mile and the defense crushes Ridder on 3rd down.
