I'm not going to dump on him but this is a very on-brand falcons hire who can seemingly only pick people with ties/retreads to this terrible organization
I can't decide if this franchise is more cursed than inept, but at that 2016 staff. The three guys you mentioned and now Quinn is hilariously back in the NFC championship. But of course the guys we have from that staff are Ulbrich and the guy with a .382 winning percentage over 76 games as head coach.
I dont normally but I’ve been going into the office later in the mornings because of the baby, so I catch a few minutes of Buck. I truly hate him so much. There’s never been a more arrogant yet let informed man. He’s the pretentious illiterate.
I haven't listened to Buck in 10 years but I used to LOL that everyone was a "xxxx man". "Well I talked to so and so, he's a Clemson Man"
The best part about Buck’s little Ulbrich story is that it unintentionally makes Kirby looked like a bitch because of how bad of a storyteller Buck is. Anyway
Wow, you guys are really stanning hard for Buck. Must kill yall not to be able to listen to him on 680 bc they only broadcast in metro Atlanta.
Kincade sucked even more than Buck and he failed upward after his layoff. I’m sure Iggles fans love his dumb ass
What this market always needed was more Northeastern guys explaining to us what REAL pro sports cities were like.
All Atlanta sports radio sucks but I unapologetically like Andy and Randy. They’ve got a good rapport.
Anytime you can get guys named Steak Shapiro, Nick Cellini and Chris Dimino talking sports and "pop culture" in Georgia you just gotta do it.
I don't stream them often, but they're the only Atlanta sports radio show I'll occasionally listen since I've moved.
Both guys had been with Ulbrich in New York. Ollie was the assistant DL coach last year with Houston.
Atlanta Falcons DT Grady Jarrett ($16.25M) RT Kaleb McGary ($14.5M) LT Jake Matthews ($9.2M) DT David Onyemata ($8.1M) K Younghoe Koo ($3M) Big changes are in store this offseason for an organization that was confident, nay, cocky about its playoff aspirations in 2024. And I’m not just talking about QB Kirk Cousins. The Falcons are one of six teams in the red for 2025. Trading Cousins would get the team back in the black but that won’t be easy. While Cousins’ $27.5 million guaranteed 2025 salary is reasonable for a solid starting quarterback, the total for a new team would actually be $37.5 million guaranteed since Cousins has a $10 million roster bonus in 2026 that becomes guaranteed this March. That’s a lot to take on for a 36-year-old coming off the worst stretch of his career. Jarrett, McGary, Matthews and Onyemata all played reasonably well but all four are going to either hit 30 or be on the other side of that milestone in 2025. I’d classify the offensive players as safer than the defensive players, as the Falcons have struggled to generate a reliable pass rush this year. Whether it’s via cut, restructure or pay cut, the Falcons will need to generate some cap relief from this quartet. There aren’t a lot of cap savings from cutting Koo but he’s in the midst of the worst year of his career since his rookie year with nine field goal misses. It’s easier to get worse at kicker than it is better most of the time, but at minimum, the Falcons will bring in competition for Koo in 2025.
Would make sense. He's only 32 and is still playing extremely well. Could extend him with a decent bonus that lowers his overall cap hit.
I think some of the cap stuff, especially wrt to Cousins, is overstated. We will be fine after this year once we trade him or cut him after next season.
my sweet dick I did not think of this and I love it but man the PA would lose their mind I’m hoping we can trade him to Cleveland for a sack of balls and like Grant Delpit
local media really mad at Kirko now. Idgaf about Kirk but really they should ask our brain trust staff why they kept playing him when it was obvious he was hurt
Kirk can say whatever he wants but the bigger picture is we continue to have an incompetent front office
