No but you should go play 3 then new Vegas
This. And if you have time, pickup 1 & 2 on PC.
I have a PS4 though
Do you have a PC that is halfway decent? If so, the specs for New Vegas and 3 are not too demanding.
Nope. Never owned a PC
Fallout shelter out today for android
Has the soundtrack been leaked out yet for this game?
Forgot it came out yesterday. Dowloading now.
Playing fallout shelter and raiders just run amok when they attack. They don't kill anyone but its annoying as hell. Is there anyway to assign someone to follow and attack them? They run to the room the Raiders are in and by then the raiders are running out the door
keep moving those people to the next room
I want more videos of Fallout 4.... things are dry
Assign 2 dwellers w/ high dps weapons (fat boy, charon's shotgun, laser rifle, etc) to the entryway and they will kill the raiders 100% of the time before they can even get to a room.
Do you need to assign a dweller to the storage room?
Finally sent some people out exploring the wasteland and they came back with a bunch of guns and outfits which help out a lot when the raiders come calling.
no you don't
send out your highest rated dweller. let them go overnight and die, then revive them, bring them back in a couple of hours after reviving them
I just started sending out my highest rated dwellers in the AM, bring them back in the PM. Make them have a baby then send them out again.
Also I wish there was a way to sort your dwellers by what weapons they are holding.
storage is worthless imo. Just a room for shit to spawn in.
Having your best dwellers have babies didn't seem to make a difference in baby starting stats.
I can't fucking wait for this.
started playing shelter a bit.
a couple of things. apparently deathclaws start at a population of 60. gonna make sure my vault is well trained/armed/etc. before hitting that mark.
i've seen elsewhere that you can get babies with good stats if you have fully maxed SPECIAL parents. otherwise, babies will start with one stat at 3 based on the best stats of the parents being at or above 3. for instance, two high charisma parents = baby with 3 charisma. a high charisma parent and a high strength parent = 50/50 chance for the baby to start with 3 charisma or 3 strength.
storage is useful if you've got people out exploring. if you don't have enough storage, you basically have to sell most of the shit the people bring back from the wastelands before you can get them back in the door.
Deathclaws never kill anyone in my shelter but run to almost every room
I just want extended gameplay videos
While I really want to see more gameplay as well, I just feel like limiting the amount of videos is going to make actually playing and discovering areas in the game so much more exciting.
Had to delete Fallout Shelter...becomes too repetitive after a while
evidently with a high charisma you can get people to do things for you by pointing a gun at them..... baller

The threat of nuclear armageddon and millions of deaths is a more than acceptable payoff for a world where Fallout games exist IMO.
this should definitely be their TV ad
Friday as we all (should) know, is the day the bombs drop in the Fallout lore. What do you expect to see from Bethesda this coming Friday?
also, cool wallpaper
They've been releasing videos every Thursday (the SPECIAL videos are realeased each Wednesday) and last week they released that live-action trailer on Friday. It'd be nice if they kept that tradition going.
I refuse to watch anything else on it. I want everything to look and feel like a surprise and new
I might adopt this isolationist policy as well.
All the special videos, put together

We can confirm that #Fallout4 will have pre-loading on Xbox One, PS4, and PC so you have a few days to download the game before 11/10
Target is going to be selling Nuka Cola Quantum (made by Jones Soda)
Probably getting this for Xmas, especially if I can get someone to snag me the XBOX.Fallout Bundle (299), Gears/Fallout/2 Controllers/only 500GB
Here is some stuff on music
That’s precisely why Fallout 4 has upped both the volume and variety of music, offering three times the amount of music (compared with Fallout 3). The carefully curated tracks have become core to the identity of Fallout, with Fallout 4 offering an even deeper auditory experience to accompany Bethesda Game Studios’ most ambitious game yet.
A third of the music is instantly recognizable – stuff like Bing Crosby’s big hits. “We almost had too much Bing early on,” Lampert laughs. “You could pack the whole list with Bing Crosby if you wanted to.”
The next third would be lesser-known tracks from well-known artists; “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole, for example.
And the final third? That’s where it gets really fun. These are often obscure tracks from long-forgotten bands, with ludicrous lyrics and a distinctive sound. “I’d be curious to know if anyone related to those bands hears this stuff,” Lampert says. “Who knows when it was last on a radio?”
We wanted to do more of the early rock-n-roll sound,” Lampert says. “Chris found a pocket of music that I hadn’t heard before. It was much less mainstream. He found all these artists who did songs about uranium, or radioactivity very specifically. ‘Atom Bomb Baby’ is a prime example.”
Regardless of whether a player hears the right song at the right time, there’s such a wide range of music that players can switch around to suit their moods, bouncing between the Diamond City Radio station and the classical music station – or simply letting the original score set the tone.
Fallout 4 also introduces something altogether new: original songs created just for the game, written and performed by a very “heroic” superstar. Which raises the question: In a fictional world where licensed music is almost an anchor to reality, how does original music fit in?
Enter Lynda Carter. She’s famously played Wonder Woman, one the most iconic roles on TV. She’s performed for luminaries and dignitaries with her critically acclaimed band. And now she can add yet another loop to her proverbial lasso with a star turn in Fallout 4 – a performance that Carter describes as one of the highlights of her illustrious career.
original song is in the article, as is a spotfy playlist. not sure if music from the game or not --- but I think so
amazing that this song was not made originally for the game
Better be some ink spots on there
of course there will be
they said they had too much Bing and had to throw it out. His music just fits too well
so...... i'm going to be that guy for a minute.
I've played a total of maybe 4 hours of fallout washington DC. not even sure which one it was, i got stuck in a sewer tunnel with monsters behind doors on both sides of me. i gave up trying to get out and never played again.
so, i don't really understand when someone said they were going to play through as an evil game. is there different ways of playing? i don't really understand the mechanics i guess. any help?
I'm in the same boat. Never played but always heard how awesome the game was. My coworker is a huge fan and has tried to explain it to as you create not only your character physically and their abilities but also their personality and how they can react in situations
There's a karma system that affects your relationships and your speech options with other characters.
In addition to good or bad karma, you also have various core attributes that can affect those situations as well.
Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck are what you have to filter points into at the beginning of the game. You'll also get perks each time you level up that can enhance your skills in all of those areas.
For instance, Intelligence points in the beginning starts you out with better hacking, lock pick, and energy weapons skills.
Charisma starts you out with better speech choices in a lot of convos and allows the story to branch slightly different.
Some different perks are being able to find additional loot, having more gore when you kill someone, getting wasteland animals to be friendly to you, higher chance for critical headshots, random event stranger showing up during battle and dominating your opponent, etc.
Then there's some things that set apart a good and bad character. For instance, in Fallout 3 there is a mission at Tenpenny Tower where Mr. Tenpenny
wants you to blow up the atom bomb that is inactive in Megaton. The residents worship it and it requires a good bit of science skill to deactivate it for good. So one outcome is Megaton survives and you have a lot of quest lines open. The other, you get to push the button from the top of the tower and watch Megaton explode in the distance.
Don't know if this helped?
