Fallout New Vegas

I will probably give it a run mid January. If someone else wants to step up before then they should for it.

 

I want to discover every location first....

I am debating getting it because I know I am going to be pissed off when I find some of the new skill books they added. Will just rage if there is a gun one when I am maxed out already.

 

take your time, be patient about having to travel on foot a lot more than in 3

 

Finally got the game for chirstmas. I had no idea what was going on early but now I'm loving it. Those damn geckos though. I finally brought out the flamethrower. Level 3 I'm headed to nector/vector or whatever the town is called.

 

Did you ever play Fallout 3?

 

Nah, I thought about it but was told to just play NV instead. I had never played any fallout game before a few days ago.

 

People say this like the same people that played 3 actually played 1 and 2. They are nothing alike and I would not subject myself to the awful mechanics of those games. 3 just came out of left field and became an instant classic.
If you end up enjoying NV, I feel like 3 has a much better atmosphere and can truly be enjoyed from a historical aspect. I would actually sit there and read stuff about the landmarks I was seeing in game. Cool shit.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the atmosphere much more in 3 than I did in NV.

 

Yeah, I'll have to pick it up when I'm done with NV. I don't think the order is a huge deal like some other games.

Good to know on the saving bug.

 

I've just now gotten into Fallout 3 and it's the coolest game I've ever played

got NV for Xmas and will get into that later

the VATS thing is so sweet....pretty sure I don't choose perks/add points in a really effective/efficient manner though

 

Speech, locpick are 1 and 2. I then think small guns and science are tied for 3rd.

Also.that ammo finder perk(scavanger I think) will save you a ton of caps.

 

I always tag science, speech, and lockpick for sure. Intelligence at 9 and charisma at 1 when doing SPECIAL too.

The Dead Money DLC is pretty good plus it lets you get up to level 35.

 

Really? I've heard from a lot of people it was a letdown.

Is this photoshopped or is there actually a way to display the names under the map markers?

That sucks, I wish this was an option once you have discovered a location.

 

So is it a no brainer if we are loving Fallout New Vegas to go ahead and get Fallout 3?

Huge Oblivion fan and somehow missed that these games were related until the past 6 months or something. Is Fallout 3 as good as New Vegas? Better?

 

3 is harder. Still a no brainer though.

 

Man, I'm jealous. I wish I could go through 3 not knowing what to expect. You will love 3 if you like NV.

i killed the legendary cazador

 

Legendary Cazador, Nightstalker, Deathclaw, and Fire Gecko out there. Legendary Deathclaw was in some cave around Primm Pass. I strolled in there with my Ranger Combat Gear and cleared it out.

You are aware that my Ranger Combat Armor has a duster on it. Oh, and it has a DT of 20.

anyone play dead monies yet? part of me wants to get it despite its mediocre reviews

 

I played through it just to get the skill books and for the extra 5 levels. Was nice adding 2 new perks. The ones they added all suck. Pretty much makes my guy a tank.

 

i'll get it because it opens up new dialogue with god tier companion veronica

 

Yet to finish this game. Really need to get around to it. Kinda stuck at a junction where I can't beat enemies in any direction.
