Forget about the TV Board all the time. Been watching and loving it so far. Meth Todd to Fat Todd is strange to see.
Love this season so far. All the characters/actors are good, but Bookeem Woodbine steals every scene he's in.
damn thats who that is? yea he is awesome. Creeps me the fuck out. also put together that the Gerhart mom was the lady in Homeward Bound.
I tend to agree with Peggy, it's not like your gonna drive home with a Gerhardt in your windshield and start supper.
Milligan - Where'd ya meet him? Your mother's house, think he went in the back door. Milligan - I like this guy
That metal thing that didn't burn in the fire when he burned those clothes is going to come back on Dunst and Todd.
Even though you know Lou is going to survive all of this, the intensity of the scene where he and the Fargo cop visit the Gerhardt's was insane. The one with Milligan and the Kitchen brothers wasn't too far off. Whoops. Double whoops. Oh, and the Fargo cop Lou went to the Gerhardt's with... http://imgur.com/gallery/VH2Sf
What was sticking out of the ground after they killed skip? Was that a tie? I just couldn't tell on my TV
One thing I like is how the wife is basically as good of a detective as the husband/father but because of the era she's not really allowed to do the job. A generation later her daughter is the cop she could have been.
Some thoughts: - Mike Milligan and the Kitchen Brothers would make an excellent band name. - the Solverson family has been great so far. It's such an awesome bridge between the two seasons. - all of the actors are absolutely destroying their parts. No one is overplaying it, which I think is the trick to a great ensemble cast. - Bokeem Woodbine is the breakaway star here but Wilson has been exception too. He's one of the more underrated guys in Hollywood, IMO. - I'm not sure where they're going with the whole alien theme but I like it. Kind of has a Vonnegut feel to it. - the direction has been great so far. Some of the sequencing has been very impressive. - the writing is just as good if not better than S1. Hawley deserves way more credit than he gets. And now for the inevitable... On the first page, there was some discussion about Fargo vs True Detective. I think it's a natural comparison because both were out of nowhere hits season one, and both follow the same model of new season, new story. Right now, Fargo S2 is kicking the shit out of TD S2 and it's not even close. The story is cohesive and suspenseful and interesting. I'm not sure where S2 of Fargo will end but I'm enjoying the hell out of this ride.
I think the owner of the salon seeing the broken windshield on the car is going to be a problem for Kirsten and fat Todd.
I think Dunst is going to end up killing her. And in the most Fargo-ish of ways, I think the boss is going to commended Dunst right before the death blow. Maybe say something about how empowering it is because you never see female serial killers.
I really like how this show has me rooting for the wrong side. I really want the Gerhardts to beat the fuck out of the KC guys and even kill Dunst's character. But I really like the cops too.
People were wondering when we'd see the scene where Lou sat outside with his shotgun all night waiting for "something" to come as he did in season 1. Got to see that last night. As he said in the scene from season 1, it didn't come that night but "soon after."
Season continues to be excellent. Monday's episode was awesome. Love the build towards the end of each episode. They've gotten so damn intense.
Is Season 1 available anywhere? I never watched any of it, but I really like this season. Is it going to be spoilery if I go back and watch it now? Didn't know they were connected and thought it was like TD.
If you've been reading this thread then I'd say you're aware of the most spoilery thing there could be about this season with regards to what we know from season 1.
Definitely check out out. I think it's on amazon or Hulu. And there's one string connecting the two seasons, so watching season 1 won't ruin anything. Probably would recommend doing 1 after 2 concludes, but that's just me.
Haven't read the article, but he's been the breakout star of the season so far @knottyyarn: I talked to Bokeem Woodbine about vampires, surrealism, and his scene-stealing work on Fargo: https://www.thrillist.com/entertain...-interview-talks-about-scene-stealing-fx-role
@mattzollerseitz: An appreciation of Bokeem Woodbine, and a call for more actors to be cast against type. http://www.vulture.com/2015/11/actors-should-be-cast-against-type.html http://twitter.com/mattzollerseitz/status/661983959987953668/photo/1
