Ya season 1 was awesome and malvo was great but season 2 is probably better as a whole. All the characters hold their own
Hard to say anything could be way better than S1 after that had finished, but I'll be damned if I don't find this season way better as a whole. Excellence.
Dodd was my favorite character this season, hands down. If I hitch my wagons to the Indian, I'm setting myself up for disappointment. Someone assure me chaos will reign.
So I guess Indian realized he was a wanted man and needed a change of identity for the escape via the haircut he requested. Then he figured he didn't need Dodd or his family any more and the mongrel comment combined with the earlier racism as the bar set him over the top. ? Also I guess this has some of that "wants you to feel bad or like /identify with the bad guy" going on ala wanting you to like Tony Soprano re: red head guy and his crazy wife Marg. Because you kinda of want them to get away with things and they are trying to live the American dream but then you remember she ran over a guy and covered up a murder so they really just need to go to jail.
Hanzee has been my favorite from the start and I always wondered why he was so loyal to Dodd's dumb ass - episode was flawless for me. Peggy and Ed's reaction when they see the cops at the end is gold.
There was an encounter in an earlier episode with the indian, Dodd, and Bear. I think Bear was saying how much he appreciated him and he was part of the family and Dodd comes around with something like don't talk to my indian or something my indian. Think that got his wheels turning. When he showed up at the cabin what we saw is what I expected from him.
Almost positive Dodd only said don't talk to my man, not indian, and everyone just went with it. I understand why Hanzee feels loyal to the Gerhardts as a family but why he's Dodd's "man" and was so loyal to him confused me considering Bear said his father took Hanzee in. Either way, Hanzee took care of that minor issue for me.
I liked Dodd but Bear is by far the superior Gerhardt brother. I don't think Dodd would even crack my top 5 characters on the show. He let Peggy get the fucking drop on him, twice. Milligan, Bear, Hanzee, Solverson, and Danzen are better for me.
Fargo Season 3 Time Period Revealed Fargo is going back to the future in its third season. After taking a detour to the 1970s in its current second season, FX’s acclaimed anthology thriller will leap forward to the quasi-present day in Season 3. “It’s more contemporary,” series creator Noah Hawley tells EW.com, adding that the action will be set “a couple years after” Season 1, which took place in 2006. As a result, Season 3 could “potentially” feature the return of such Season 1 faves as Molly and Gus (played by Allison Tolman and Colin Hanks, respectively), according to Hawley. Fargo wraps its 10-episode second season on Dec. 14.
I have loved the trip back to the 70s but I'm very confident anything this team puts out will be must see TV.
It's not over yet but I'm already trying to figure out where this season ranks in my all time favorites. Hopefully the ending is strong, I'd be shocked if it was anything less than excellent
We know Lou gets shot and survived but I have no doubt that they will build it in a way that makes the audience fear for his life. And there's a 100% probability that the penultimate episode and finale are excellent. This season hasn't had a down episode yet.
The shooting injury that forced Lou to retire was during a routine traffic stop. I don't think it's related to this.
Are we sure? What if that's just the story he tells people? Full disclosure: I need to rewatch S1 after this season ends
I have no qualms saying that so far it is easily in my top 2 or 3 favorite seasons of TV ever. And with 2 more eps that I have no doubt will keep the same standard, it will probably be the best season of TV I have ever watched.
Thank you to everyone who turned me on to this show. I binge watched the first season and every episode of the second until I caught up last week. Simply incredible.
Fargo is weird an quirky but the UFO feels forced weird and quirky. I didnt like it, but at least it didnt really impact the plot much.
My take on the UFO. You have a perfect game going with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and your manager decides its time to make a mound visit which distracts you a bit but you shake it off. You run the count to 0 and 2 on the batter and then you hit him in the elbow with the 3rd pitch. Perfect game is gone but still have a shot at the no hitter.
Don't let the UFO take away at how crazy this last episode was. That motel shootout was pretty incredible.
I would have rather not had the UFOs involved in the season at all. But since they were, I don't mind how they ended up using it.
Yeah, I think I would have preferred their absence but since they've been there consistently throughout the season it's not like this was absolutely out of nowhere. The whole mess started because Rye saw one as he was crossing the road so he got distracted and Peggy hit him.
