I didn’t have a prescription for Ozempic and I brought is back without an issue. You don’t need a prescription to buy it there and it isn’t a controlled substance. I brought it in my backpack and was fine.
There aren’t any Colombian companies that make it. What I bought is the original name brand by Novo Nordisk. 630,000 pesos is about $150 give or take for the 1mg dose. The .25 mg dose is about half that price. It says you need a prescription, but you really don’t.
Especially flights coming from Colombia. seriously though I’ve never had an issue bringing any medication in from Colombia. I brought basically a whole pharmacy a few months back for my MIL. And my wife and I always bring various things back when we come. So much cheaper and can buy pretty much anything without a prescription. Just keep the receipt and say it’s for personal use and you’ll be fine.
Im actually diagnosed pre-diabetic and I have sleep apnea. Dr's office prescribes semaglutide and sends it directly to a compounding pharmacy (that I've never used) because as the nurse said in her response to me, most insurance won't cover it. I just sent the message to her asking to please send it to my regular pharmacy first. I understand it may get denied by insurance, but I atleast want to have that come from the insurance
My company started a partnership with Noom. They pick up any costs that my insurance won’t cover at no cost to us.
I did on tirzepetide. I fucked up and gained back about 40% of the weight (I am not obese or overweight). Ended up hopping back on eventually for a short period, about to get off and plan not to be a dumbass. Will report back.

Picked up semiglutide compound .25 today So I guess I'll start tomorrow Any tips, or stuff to look out for.? Never given myself a shot before
Make sure you find an area with enough fat. Typically stomach for guys. If you hit muscle it hurts like a bitch. Also, rotate the injection site to avoid bruises
Put in a PA for zepbound now that my new insurance should cover it in the same tier. Hopefully it works
Already got the PA done. Must be an automated system because I got an email from caremark saying it was being reviewed immediately followed by the approval.
I've been on wegovy for a few months and lost ~15lbs. It's been a great experience. Been wanting to switch to zep but BCBS didn't cover it, so I switched to a plan that would.
I have BCBS and Caremark, where did you find that it is now covered? It feels impossible to find any information, except for typing whatever med on the Caremark app and seeing if it shows a reduced price
I am looking forward to switching back to Tirzepatide after being on Ozempic the past couple of months. I dropped about 46 lbs in 4 months on Mounjaro and only about 6-7 in two months doing Ozempic. Start Zepbound on Friday.
Oh my bad. Being fat. BMI is like 34. I’m not diabetic or pre-diabetic and all of my labs came back normal.
Only indication I can find is the Caremark app and when I search for the medicine it says “Not Covered”. There’s like 15 different dosages though so maybe that changes it
You should be able to go to the website for the company that has your plan and look up the drug coverages. That'll tell you for sure. Mine said not covered until I got the PA.
Caremark prolly has thousands of different plans with different criteria. The employer typically picks what they cover and don’t cover unless they opt into a standard Plan
Mine specifically only covered Ozempic with a Prior Auth related to diabetes. I checked again this year and got the same message. When I met with my Primary Doc he said he suggested keeping insurance out of it and going the route of compounding. He has been my doc for 8 years so he’s seem my weight transition up and down. I don’t have diabetes so it looks like my insurance doesn’t cover any of the ones designed for weight loss at the moment. Only diabetic focused medications.
Zepbound appproval for sleep apnea is gonna be the new one. Not sure if it’s been discussed or not in here
Go to peptide websites and buy retatrutide. Will end up cheaper than compounded Ozempic and hits 3 receptors
That was one of the questions on the questionnaire I had to do for Noom through my company. And I got approved through Noom Med. Not sure if the approval vas because of sleep apnea or because I was already on medication or because of my weight. Probably a combination.
I had my Dr's appointment a few days after seeing all over the web that Zep was now approved for apnea. I have apnea, so I asked the Dr about it while we were talking about glp-1s. He said when it actually does get approved and they are able to prescribed it for apnea patients, his inbox will be blown up by the drug reps about it. But so far he had heard nothing
It’s approved. Takes time for insurance companies to develop guidelines for it. Actually getting some approved before a guideline is developed is sometimes easier.
Talking with a budy about these glp1 and how they could potentially save the health care system so much money. But you wouldn’t see it for years down the road so it’s hard for a for profit company to eat that money now to save it down the road when you have shareholders. like a new rsv antibody drug came out recently and almost all insurance companies will pay for it. It’s 800 dollars but a single dose and one prevented hospital stay for rsv will pay for 30 babies to get a dose. But that impact is immediate unlike weight loss due to glp1. Not justifying by any means but found it interesting
This. I got the approval from Noom then scheduled a video visit with a doctor on Accolade. She sent the prescription in and they did the PA then a couple of days later I got a text from the pharmacy that it was ready for me to pick up.
