Streets: Bodie, Omar, D, Michael, Avon, String...damn, so many good characters and I'm leaving out a ton Cops: Bunk, Cool Lester Smooth
It's fucking hard to even narrow it down to 5, but I guess I'll try: McNulty was the fucking man in the first couple seasons, but they didn't focus on him enough later in the series. Omar is probably the most badass character in any show I've watched. Bubbles was very easy to root for. Incredible job by the actor that played him too. Dookie's story made me pretty sad. His ending made me really sad. Bunk/Cutty/Bunny for the last spot. Too hard to choose. Didn't think the show lived up to all the hype, but by far the best collection of characters in TV history IMO.
Bubbles was my favorite and I'm shocked I'm only the second person to say so. Spoiler At the end I, aloud, kept repeating "please don't let Bubbles die.". I have never been so emotionally invested in a TV character
No McNulty? D was an alright character but he wouldn't make my top 5 from the streets. It is almost impossible to name one favorite character from this show though, because at one time or another I felt emotionally invested in what was going to happen to almost all of them. That is what makes this show unlike any other IMO. The way they built the characters over multiple seasons and made you care about them is unlike anything else I have ever watched. All of that being said, my favorite character is Zig. Spoiler Spoiler just kidding, it is Bodie
It was definitely interesting to see how MUCH better they were at being criminals than the street dudes
Did anyone else get pissed at Herc fucking up the investigation in season five?(I think it was season 5)
he definitely didn't captivate me like other characters...he was exciting because he was always doing shit, but his forced queerness and unrealistic moves was pretty dumb
