It's ridiculous. That and GK stop about 10 shots a game. Headers are still impossible to score on as well.
I had no problems putting it in the back of the net with my 5'8 players forehead in his second match.
Ignored all friends all week playing Pro Club with 47 straight, VictorJ24, Bruns, and DWarren4Heisman I'm the worst, and it sucks to suck.
I am doing a career with Milik of Ajax. Is Ajax able to make it to the Champions league out of the Dutch league?
Finally felt like I figured out defending in this game. All about manning the passing lanes with the guy you control, and letting your AI controlled guys contain and apply the pressure so that your opponent makes a bad pass. Also, really cool that this game allows you to establish a chosen identity. I've been trying to master a counter-attacking style, and the fact that FIFA is realistic enough for multiple styles to be successful if executed properly is fantastic.
Had my most dominating performance last night ever in 1 v 1. Felt like I was in his side of the half the entire match. Ended up. 16-1 shot differential. I conceded that shot in the 93rd minute. So close to going an entire match without giving up a shot.
think I'm about ready to hang it up and join the PES master race. Gameplay in this fifa is complete shit. Took me many weeks, thinking i'd get used to it or eventually just "get it", but I now realize that it is just a steaming pile of a game. sucks b/c i've been playing it since 2004 but i think i'm ready to drop the habit.
Playing PSV on World Class is such god damn bullshit. Motherfucking Luuk De Jong and his fucking 63 pace out there out running and running down my 76 pace players, meanwhile 85 pace Martial and 86 pace Son can't breakaway from anyone. 63 god damn pace. Are you kidding me.
between the lack of actual clubs, wonky controls, semi creepy Japanese graphics, and generic designs I struggle to really enjoy PES's gameplay. the overall lack of visual appeal just kills PES for me.
i know, that's why i fifa. i seriously just cannot score in this new one. i totally feel powe's pain. keepers all on peds this year.
I think I said it in a post in that thread, I've heard it's a great game and it gets good scores and I hope people switch to it so it overtakes FIFA or causes them to fix things but I am part of the problem because I'm not willing to be one of the people switching
Haven't played much and had no pack luck so it's incredibly weak. A low value La Liga/Spanish team Most valuable I've gotten was Dani Alves and Oscar
many seem to feel that the quality in packs has dropped quite a bit. getting a player over 80 is fairly rare. (not entirely apples to oranges) meanwhile in NBA 2k16, you can unlock a pretty solid MyTeam roster via MyCareer (be a player mode). the FIFA equivalent would be spending 3 off days in be a player doing events with someone on par with Pogba/Memphis/etc and getting their card in FUT.
EA is absolutely destroying the transfer market. They've run 12 promo packs this month and ran 22 promo packs last month.
I played a few career mode matches with West Ham about 1-2 weeks ago after playing NBA 2k16 almost exclusively for a month. maybe it is due to using a largely average squad, but at times trying to generate offense felt like the equivalent of cutting yarn with a butter knife. it can be done, but was not that enjoyable. I am on board with their attempt to increase the importance of passing and using the center of the pitch, especially since in years past one could repeatedly use a fast wing to fly down the sideline and cut inside. Unfortunately it has resulted in playing league cup games against the 71 overall clubs manage to play keep-away.
I simmed a shit ton of games, but I'm in 2024 career with Bristol Rovers. My whole team is Americans I have developed through my youth squad. My crowning jewel so far is a 21-year-old RW who is already at a 86 overall. For some reason the game has become way more fun since "real" players have retired.
how are players developing? what kind of youth are being generated? I found this freak later into FIFA 15's cycle and never got a chance to see him develop. I believe his potential was in the 88-92 range and he showed up when I scouted for "wingers" only, so the guy had athleticism.
Based on what other people said, I only have one scout (5* experience, 4* judgement) and he is always in the US. During the first 4 years I only took players with a top potential of 80 or above. The last 4 years I have bumped that up to 89 as the low for potential. How players develop has been odd, and doesn't make much sense to me. I have both that RW and a CAM who are young and are already up in the mid to high 80s, while some players haven't developed at all or it took them until 26 then there was a huge jump. I haven't noticed any difference in training them affecting that either. Goal keepers still develop notoriously slow.
have any of you come across any regens of any players yet? this was Ronaldo's regen in career mode: Keep all the best players in your shortlist and check in the middle of the season if it says "Retiring at the end of the season". After that season ends, you can find his regen by searching young players (16-21) in the league where that player retired (can be any club from that league). They will be the same position and will have the same nationality. You will then have to see if it says something like "An exciting prospect" or "Has potential to be special" or something like that. A very easy regen to find is Zlatan, as there aren't that many young Swedish strikers in Ligue 1 (or whichever league he will retire in). Finding Iniesta's regen for example (Spanish cm in La Liga) will be a lot harder.
I have seen people do that in previous years, but is it necessary? Finding players with 94 potential (especially if you're scouting Brazil/Argentina) doesn't seem hard.
