I've packed Pastore and a bunch of shit... ultimate team is so frustrating at the beginning because everyone is so expensive... gonna play the journey and maybe do a career before I start UT.
I gave in and bought Bravo for 17k. It's a lot for a keeper but I will use him with pretty much every team I put out there, plus they got him at 85 rating now which is great. Only missing Sanchez and Vidal now which are gonna be ridiculously expensive to get.
What difficulty are you guys playing on? I like to play as just Alex Hunter but find that on world class that we don't have the ball much and I don't get many touches but pro is a bit too easy
Same issue I'm having. I've been playing mostly Pro in FUT, but it's getting too easy now. That will change when I make it to the top divisions and I am forced to play in World Class/Legendary only.
I got my ass loaned out with the quickness on World Class, but stuck with it and am starting to get a decent number of opportunities per game in the Championship while I get a better feel for the game. Definitely regret choosing striker over CAM.
What did everyone pick for their loan spot? Seems like it's been mainly Newcastle (which is what I picked too).
I haven't tried The Journey yet but it sounds like the progress is very linear. I think I'm gonna pick CAM as my position.
Packed some decent EPL players (Herrera, Shaw, Ramsey, Martial, Stones, Ashley Williams) so built a 4-1-4-1 EPL squad
I spent a lot of experience points and got a lot of loans. Can almost field a starting X1 of only loan players in their correct positions. Missing CBs.
Yeah I got all the loan players and use them in some spots (Mahrez at RM, Bellarin at RB, Butland at GK) or off the bench. Who was your loan legend? Mine was Brian Laudrup
Pavel Nevdev but already have Reus and Hazard at LM. I haven't used either of the 3 yet since i'm still in division 6 against CPU and haven't played online 1 v 1 yet.
Oh I also got 2 TOTW loans. Short loans like 4 matches and my player to watch loan was Martial, who I have used.
They added 3 squad building challenges: Del Piero: Build Calcio B, Juventus, Italy and League-A teams and get a legend Del Piero Loan (20 matches) Sterling (FA POTM): Build Man City, England and EPL teams and get an award winner Raheem Sterling Marquee matchups: 3 teams that require players from the marquee matchups (Schalke v Gladbach, Lyon v St. Etinee, U de Chile v Colo Colo) for a draft token. My only complaint is that the time limit for both of these is really short. The marquee matchup challenge is 2 days.
That's what I did but I'll warn that twice in my 3 games using him the connection was lost and they counted as games used so I really only got him for 1 game because of that
That's because they're going to do a marquee matchup challenge every weekend it sounds like. So they'd announced it at the start of the weekend what the challenge would be and you have to complete it that weekend. Not a great reward for it anyway. For completing all 3 you get a draft coin. Which are fun but not the best reward for doing 3 separate challenges. As much as I want that Sterling, the PL one has to be all rare and team overall 83+. Probably a very costly group you'd be giving up
Yes I agree. Not a huge payoff but I'll keep checking the individual challenges and see what the prices are, I doubt I'll get as lucky as I just did with the Chilean League one. I had players to spare and only lost 1 player I cared about.
Pulled Anfield which sold for 5k. Just pulled Rashford and looks like he sells for around 15-20k so selling him since he's only 76. Not including loan guys I have now a 4-1-4-1 EPL squad of ------------Rondon Martial-Herrera-Ramsey-Navas -------------Mendy Shaw--Stones-Williams--Darmian --------------Zeiler with bench of Diomande, Walcott, Töre, Mikel, Barragan, Gomes Hopefully will be able to upgrade Striker, DM and GK soon. Before Rashford sells I have 37k coins. Using the EAS coins to purchase the coin boosts for x amount of matches and then just playing some is big
Using a 4-1-2-1-2 at the moment for my premier league squad. --------Welbeck-----------Borja -------------------Gylfi--------- ------Albrighton----------Deulofeu ------------------Cabaye--------- Gibbs---Huth----Mertesacker---Debuchy ------------------Guzan-------------- So still looking to upgrade a few positions for sure.
Sadly not the ones I've got. I did the compare price on Herrmann and Sam and they don't look like they're really going for more. Threw up a ASSE guy I have and a Schalke RB that look like they're a little higher
Chilean players are blowing up now. Bought most of them for min and they are going for 5k a piece. Put 4 up to see what I get. At worst I can buy them back after the weekend.
I bought a few FIFA points and am just putting them into offline drafts. Fun to use different players. I did semi, pro and now world class. Had Messi the first time. CR7 and Bale the 2nd and was determined to not have an all La Liga squad this time so on the captain screen chose Lacazette over Messi for my 4-1-4-1. Cech, Kompany and legend Ferdinand are the only crazy priced ones I think but using Coman and Sissoko as my wide mids so it was fun the first match I played so far
Pro Clubs is frustrating as fuck. What I'd give to be able to beat a 76 ovr computer CB off the dribble or in a foot race.
What did you use your skill points on? SBTide and I were playing yesterday with Skeeter and we were taking on defenders and beating them
I have 23 skill points right now. When I was playing ST I was 5'8 and like 160. I used 8 points to boost sprint and acceleration to put those at like 92/91 or 91/90. I used 3 on strength and 2 on ball control. I would highly recommend that so you can hold guys off and control the ball well. I wasn't boosting dribbling so doing that and using the right stick to knock it on in the right spots should allow you to take guys on and beat them. That leaves you left over skill points to use on passing, finesse shot, weak foot, dribbling, etc
Had a great weekend of FUT. Got "the ones to watch" Leroy Sane and Bellerin in a pack after completing a squad building challenge (highly recommend you doing these if you play FUT). From the recommendation of Man City insider SugarShaun, I put Sane in the market as he hasnt featured and is unlikely his rating will go up. He sold for 56k and Bellerin sold for 25k. Used about 15k of the earnings to buy Varane and Isco for my La Liga/Real Madrid squad.
I've only played one 1 v 1 match and it seemed pretty normal. I know you play a lot if it, can you explain what in specific you dont like this year?
