Pack luck back to shit. Still grinding league SBCs but I don't think I've packed anything worth more than 4k in about 15+ packs (and I'm pretty much only doing SBCs where I'm getting a chance at 6+ rare players). Nothing like grinding all week on squad battle to have your pack opening cards be sub-80. That Gnabry looks real nice though. Wonder what his price settles in at.
I had a 74 cm untradeable from Middlesborough, besides a st and rb Pure profit for the first time, although nothing of note. Gonna knock out the other MM now that we got the big one out of the way.
I played a horrendously laggy online seasons match last night. I got lucky early and went up 2-0, but every time this guy had the ball the game would start stuttering. I conceded one in the 50th, and was generally on the back foot for most of the second half. At one point he had me straight up beat from a through ball to Neymar; so I gave up trying to tackle him, called the keeper, and made David Luiz run straight for the goal line. Ended up winning 3-1.
Good lord these TOTT cards. 95 striker Ronaldo going for 5M, many of the rest going for 1M. Even the non-sweatys like Kane and Casemiero are in the upper 200s. Kimmich card looks nice but I think I'm pivoting away from my Bundes squad to see if I can build up another team from scratch rather than make incremental improvements on my A team.
I’m not sure if it’s just the sheer number of packs that these guys open, the fact that they’ve got lots of followers so people will see them opening great packs or a combo of the 2 but I feel like the YouTube guys, Futwiz/Futhead guys, etc have amazing openings.
I continue to have miserable pack luck. I have used as many club players as possible and have spent half as much as any SBC pack has been worth if I bought it from the pack store, and yet I'm still on a massive slide. My overall SBC profit was nearing 200k and has dropped to sub 140k. Terrible.
I played UT draft for the first time last night and it’s so much fun. Ronaldo, Lewandowski, POTM Mane, TOTT Mbappe, IF hazard, Sanchez all on one squad. I also like the challenge of playing in a formation I’m not completely comfortable in. Still no clue how to use wingers correctly, they just end up standing outside for me. Ronaldo corners to Lewandowski were completely unfair though. Might mostly do that from here on out. If you can even win a couple games (which didn’t seem hard offline - my first two games were my dream squad against Russian league sides, even if the bad chem made it more difficult) the rewards are much better than grinding league SBCs, even if you have to pay a bit more to play.
I did one that was 4-3-1-2 Chose Ronaldo as my opening player and he went to my bench as no LW spot. Got IF CAM Hazard then got Jesus, IF Pogba and TOTGS KDB. Joao Mario was my other CM with Eder my other ST and Inter RB so they all had high chem. Would sub R7 for Eder and that front 3 was ridiculously fun with my CMs rotating who got forward. Played Atletico in Final after winning earlier matches 5-0, 5-0, 3-0 (Legendary) and went down 0-2 early. Hazard struck early 2nd then in 83rd Pogba put a FK from midfield onto someone’s head and KDB tapped in the rebound. Went wild in ET and won 6-2. So much fun
Sitting comfortably in Elite 3 for SB when I left home this morning with my 4 morning matches plus another update I can do before tonight so felt fine doing that. Probably will do enough to stay Elite 3 and not worry about pushing for Elite 2 or 1. Like the packs better for Elite 3 so if I can’t push for the coin bump of Elite 1 it probably isn’t worth it
I did similarly, except that I ended up losing 4-2 to Spurs in the final after going up 2-0 and then completely falling apart (4th goal was when I had shifted to ultra attacking after going down 3-2 late). First 3 games were very easy though. My defense was very suspect, I think my second best CB was in the 70s, and i never got a better option. My chem was really bad too. I had a chance to get Neymar, TOTT mbappe and Cavani up front and should have picked Cavani but couldn’t turn down Lewandowski for him. I’ll keep chem in mind more next time when selecting, it was more noticeable than I thought it would be.
Yeah I am all about chem so think I had lowest being Eder and IF Hazard at 7. Had back 4 of Rose, Kompany, Smalling, Inter RB Bravo GK. Normal subs were R7 for Eder and Keylor Navas for Bravo then James for one of the CMs I passed on a couple better players looking for better chem

Ridiculous. I usually play on Amateur as a warm up game, plus there's not a huge bonus for playing up a difficulty level. I think the difference between Legendary and Amateur is like 250. I won the last one something ridiculous like 12-0, even with my B-team, so this week I decided to bump it up a level to Semi-Pro. I won 1-0 on a last second goal. Definitely don't try at a high difficulty.
I tried on Professional. Played the best game I've ever played probably. Won 2-1 in ET after scoring in 93' to force ET
I have played the last couple on Ultimate. Went to ET with one and lost 2-1. Got beat 5-0 by the other. I think I got the 1400 points for losing on on Ultimate and Amatuer gives 1550 (at least for this week)
I won 2-0 on legendary but these games always play easier for me than the regular squad battles (I've only tried legendary for sub-80 teams with garbage chemistry and even then I'm giving up bombs from 25 yards out) Still have yet to see any sort of IF player in packs. Also is it just me or did the AI goalkeeping on penalties get stupid good recently?
I’ve been having more trouble on pens lately. Still score at a pretty good clip but used to rarely ever get stopped. My stopping strategy still works pretty well though so I typically still win if I go to pens. I pretty much only play on Legendary these days. I actually find myself winning a higher % against Legendary than I did at WC.
I get such a level of satisfaction when I go off against the Bronze bench fuckers. 80 overall 4-3-2-1 Ben Yedder Martial IF Alessandrini Herrera Bakayoko OTW Tolisso Rose Rudiger Bailly Aurier Courtois 1-1 after 90. 4-1 after ET.
I have played some FUT and am now playing a career mode (as a make a player) - in both game modes I play predominantly on World Class but some on Professional as well. Regardless of level I have a ton of trouble with conceding the tying/winning goal (sometimes both) after 80 minutes in both game modes. I shift to defensive/ultra defensive, control my CDM and keep him in position, but get beat every imaginable way for the goals. It is frustrating as hell to contain the computer for 80 minutes only to have them seemingly shift from 3rd gear into 6th with 10 minutes left and lose points. Obviously the best thing to do is be up 3 with 10 to go but do you have any strategies to cope with this? I don't like passing it around the back for the final 15 minutes of a video game simulation but is that what I need to do? Am I just bad?
Many people say that it feels scripted and it really does. Like how in Mario Kart you get better prizes if you're in last place. Same thing I can't say I have evidence but anecdotally I agree
I've been on both ends of it. At times it feels more likely to be a goal the last 10 minutes but I’d say majority of my matches don’t have a late goal When I sit back and try to defend, that’s when I give up a late goal. When I don’t change my style, keep attacking, it typically means no late goal
Haven't played much UT before this year. How are January transfers dealt with? Do they get new club cards and their old club cards remain out there, or do all the cards change?
They get new cards and are the only ones available in packs. The old ones remain on your team if you have them but are out of packs.
What Quick said. Also the old ones don’t change, they stay the same, so there could be players with cards out there in 2 separate leagues
Also, they do January upgrades/downgrades on players that have been better/worse than their ratings. This also does not change your current standard cards but they will no longer be in packs. IF cards however do get affected by this for upgrades. Say you’ve got 2IF Kimmich at 86 and he gets upgraded from 81 to 84, his IF/2IF/TOTGS all get upgraded as well. If the upgrade is still lower than his IF they aren’t affected though. So upgrade from 81 to 82-83 and the IFs aren’t affected. I made a large chunk of coins by investing in IF Lacazettes a few years back. Good times.

I just played a game where I scored a 35 yard screamer with a defender to tie it 1-1 in 93' after scoring two goals early in extra time navas let two balls through his legs in 118+121 to force penalties I'm not saying it's scripted but it sure as hell seems scripted
In a squad battle the other day, Toprak broke two of my defender's ankles and put one upper 90 in the 118th minute of OT after I had just scored in the 115th. That almost cost me a controller.
It’s the one things that sucks about playing AI. If they want to win or force ET there is nothing you can do. It’s 1000% scripted.
My favorites are the ones where I have 60% possession, 12 shots, 9 on target, 6 corners and they have 1 shot, 1 on target and the game ends 1-1.
Someone on reddit posted a screenshot like a month ago of their online match where they had a ridiculous possession % and they had some outrageous numbers like 60-65 shots and all but like 4 were on target and the other person had like 3-4 shots and 1 on target and game was 2-1 to the person who dominated.

Agree but they do have a daily SBC and I’m hoping they’ll do like last year and you get a free pack that is based on how many of the daily SBCs you do. I think last year I did them all and got a jumbo rare player pack or ultimate pack. Also did the Gnabry and bought cheap IF. Also grabbed a cheap TOTGS in case that is required. Already had a few untradeable Ultimate Scream Guys
