I had untradeable Insigne and Handanovic, bought those two and I'm rotating a team of 1-2k players around them with the goal of eventually upgrading those. I also took about 3 weeks to buy them and just monitored their price until I could get a bid in for Dybala sub-150 and Nainggolan sub-80. I am a poor man.
This is what ultimately caused me to cut back a little. Playing squad battles started to feel like a chore that I needed to squeeze into my day.
An hour and a half per day for five+ days does get tiresome. I hate every game model that is based on showing up every day.

I've never played a single weekend league and can't imagine what it's like. It doesn't seem enjoyable at all.
I don’t normally play more than 1-2 matches per day during the week and tend to get in a decent amount on the weekend and have been able to stay Elite 3. I can’t imagine doing weekend league. There are people that were doing full WL plus full SBC. That’s insanity. It’s also why there have been a number of pro players quit this year

Did the marquee matchups SBCs and got 2 TOTW pulls. Not good ones but still IF and worth around 10k minimum.
I packed Iniesta which was my first decent pull in a while. Manchester City/Liverpool one was kind of expensive. I did it with club players and probably could have sold them for 10k or so. Wouldn't have done it but it was worth it for rare electrum pack. I do 90% SBCs and 10% actually playing the game at this point

They released league pack SBCs, a TOTY nominee SBC and 81+ guarantee SBC so did them on the app while watching TV with the wife. Did the TOTY nominee and an 81+ SBC. Pulled Courtois from the 81+ and IF Obiang from the TOTY. Very happy with that

There is a TOTW 81+ guarantee. The tradeable isn’t locked into TOTW 17. Could do that and plan to save for a better TOTW. That’s my plan.
Makes sense because the whole TOTY will be available then. None of us will pull one anyway so I figure fuck it
The 81+ guarantee requires an 83 rated team, not an IF. Now that I have a solid Serie A squad to rotate with, I almost never play my Budesliga B-squad but I've formed this weird emotional attachment to and can't sell them.
I think you’re looking at the TOTW 17 upgrade that is untradeable. Further in there’s “Tradeable TOTW Upgrade” which requires 2 IFs, 83 rated squad and gives you a tradeable TOTW player that isn’t locked into TOTW 17 and can be used whenever

Ah I see now. I've never been big into the upgrade SBCs. Never made sense to me to exchange 11 rare players for a chance at 3 rare players from your league of choice, for example. TOTY one is the same, not sure why I would exchange two 81 IFs plus a bunch of 82-84s for a chance at another one that is more than likely going to be an 81. If I could do it in untradeables, maybe, but I can sell off most of those cards and make enough to get halfway to an IF that I'm sure I'd want. Speaking of which, TOTW 18 is shit. Maybe 3 valuable cards in there.
Disagree. Son and Suarez are gigantic value. James, Ox, Werner, Wilson will all be good value, possibly Lanzini as well. Schmeichel and Asnejo have value possibly for going into legend SBCs since they require IF and certain team rating. Some of the low level Bundesliga might be useful for me.
At this point. Might as well hold off until after 1PM ET Friday as that should be when the whole TOTY is available plus the TOTW. Sorry, had I seen this earlier I’d have said on the spot as freshly released TOTW typically sell high then quickly drop in value. Callum Wilson was around 75k at release at 1PM and is down around 50k now. On the extreme end of it, Suarez was 1.1 mil at release and around 900k now. Ramos over 3 mil now around 1.7 mil. DDG 2.5 mil down to 1.3. Marcelo 1.9 down to 1 mil. Bonucci fascinatingly has held steady around 900k-1m the entire time from what I can see

Latest TOTY Nominee SBC seems impossible. 100 chem with max 3 from the same league and max 3 from the same nation. Gave up after spending about 45 minutes on it over lunch.
I generally like using my club players to complete those, filling in the gaps with a concept card if I have to. Makes the packs feel free. I use FUTBin solutions for the league SBCs though.
Maybe next year I will try it your way, stocking the club and only selling extras in-demand for a MM after I've already completed my own.

Reward for the SBC right now is a mega pack, expires in 2 hours and isn't horrifically difficult, only need 90 chem so you can afford one or two guys out of position.
I’ve had the stream open on a 3rd monitor all morning and no rewards yet. Peak over every now and then too, it’s only the top 64 but every time I do they all have Prime R10, TOTY CR7, one of TOTY Kante/KDB, Prime Vieira, R9 and some form of DDG.
It's pretty clear the purpose of the promo is to get you to see how good icons are and want to buy them. I keep thinking "That team looks way better than mine, and not just because the guy playing with them is 10,000x better than me"
Haven't gotten any. SBC is about to expire though. Clear your club of any gold spanish players not in La Liga, most of the ones I didn't use in the SBC went for 4-5K
