The manager not affecting a single player in the lineup killed me.

A German manager an using the card to make him Ligue 1 would bump up 7 players

 

I’m a FUT amateur don’t why I didn’t realize manager affected players.

You can change league of your manager?

Yeah I would’ve included that in my quoted post had I seen it up front. Guys chemistry level is affected by the guys linked to them based on League/Club/Nationality but also have by loyalty (that you packed them or that they’ve played 10+ matches for you) and by manager (based on Nationality or League)

So my example for you for your current roster would be to find any German manager (you could find a bronze for 200 buy it now if not gold) and then buy a Ligue 1 manager League card (I’d be shocked if more than 200 buy it now) and then you’d be at 90 chemistry with 7 of those guys boosted from 7 to 8

 

Also scatman duse just so you know I’m not just here to laugh at you, I also did the research to let you know where your guys are, where they’d be if you get a manager to boost them and if you got them at 10 chem.

Draxler 85 -> 86 (if 10 chem, 87)
Rudy 83 -> 84 (if 10 chem, 86)
Pastore 85 -> 86 (if 10 chem, 88)
Marquinhos 86 -> 87 (if 10 chem, 90)
Howedes 86 -> 87 (if 10 chem, 89)
Ter Stegen They don’t have the keeper chem styles so not sure but it’ll affect him also.

Torres 80 -> 81 (if 10 chem, 81) Catalyst isn’t your best option here. Deadeye/Maestro/Marksman 86, Hunter/Sniper 86
Laporte 86 -> 87 (if 10 chem, 90)

Since Di Maria is already at 10 chem he isn’t affected so you definitely want a German manager but can decide if you want Ligue 1 to help Marquinhos/Pastore or LaLiga to help Torres/Laporte.


That should make your team a little better for now but I’d continue to look at how to improve to 100 chem by changing out a few guys

Futwiz and Futhead will let you check in game ratings based on chemistry style and their chemistry level. I’m sure there are others but those are the biggest sites

Finished Elite 3. Missed out on Elite by 420 points. To make it worse, I lost my last 2 matches playing on Pro and WC. Had I gone down a difficulty level and won, I’d have got Elite 2

 

Only achieved gold 2, missed at least 12 matches throughout the week.

Got lucky pulling TOTW Lichtsteiner for my rewards. After selling should be over 400k coins, only 100k away from Pogba.

 

My best pull wasn’t even from those but from my weekly pack I got Leno

 

Another week of packing nothing. Got the GK Horn but that’s it. Bought a Carrasco to help the Spanish team out.

 

Got Lloris from a squad battles reward pack. Cool 80k prolly

 

Tryna think of who to spend bigly for. Maybe Reus or Alaba

I packed Gameiro early and have him in a front 3 with Carrasco and Williams. My La Liga team will be pretty good once I get a defense.

I’m super jealous of everyone packing good players this week.

 

I played my first-ever online game today. I think I made the guy kill himself. He knew all the fancypants moves and was flat embarrassing and megging all my guys. Had 80% possession. I won 3-0 though and he didn't play the final five minutes

 

Online is a shit show... I played my 1st game. Came back from 2-0 down in the 2nd half to win 4-2 but it’s not enjoyable at all.

 

Online FUT is a miserable experience

Zuber is what max 6 at RB? Think he could get to 7 at LB but playing on opposite side would drop that to 5 or 6

I played TOTS Guerreiro last year at LB on 7 chem but his stats were so boosted it was fine

Edit: After checking it out, Zuber still 82 RB with 5 chem and 83 with 6. Not bad

I’m not sure how that’s related to my comment. Wasn’t questioning the use of him there outside of max chemistry for him being low. Though even with that he’s still about as good as Piszczek (though Pisz in game will be a good bit higher)

Those kits are wild. Got ran off the pitch playing a sbc today who wore those. Maybe worst game of fifa I have ever played

 

got beat 3-1 on WC. It seems every 3rd match now features a goal mouth scramble that leads to a goal against. I got passed to death against this squad and Ter Stegen kept out 2 perfect corners. I feel cheated by EA by not boosting my corners because I have Tony Pulis as manager.

 

Oh just explaining why I like him there even despite the chemistry issue. Really balanced and can shoot and dribble which is what I like

 

Any particular cards you guys have had regular success in flipping? I'm trying to build up a baseline of coins by flipping cards. At first I just started doing it by finding underpriced Bundesliga cards as I was searching for players for my own team, but figure it may be more doable in the Premier League or La Liga

 

I tried this in F16 and it was a miserable amount of work for very little gain

 

Is anyone doing a Serie A, Ligue 1, or one of the countries not named England, Spain, Germany, or France?

Try Denis Suarez in your MF. I have had more trouble against him with his passing and defending than most of the MFs I have seen from La Liga.

 

What kits and badge combos is everyone using?

 

Still using my Monaco crest I got free untradeable and then using the Oktoberfest kits. Don’t remember what my aways are, I don’t use them

 

Haven’t done much this year but last year tried keeping an eye on upcoming matches to prep for marquee matchups SBCs.

It was a slow process but made coins. Best way is choosing a OTW card you expect to be good that sells for below what it will with upgrades and investing in it.

Or if someone is going to get a winter upgrade and has IF cards, investing in those. Made a bunch a couple years ago on IF Lacazette when he got an upgrade

 

I’m using Brentford’s badge I packed and Liverpool’s orange kit as Home and the octoberfest kit as my away.

 

I think I'm just confused at why I can easily buy some guys for 600 on the market and others of (what I think are) the same card are regularly being bid up to 2000 or so

could you explain how OTW cards work? I'm unfamiliar. Don't think that was part of F16

 

If you have a OTW card and they get a in-form then that card gets a boost too.

Last year Mane was a 79. Card was pretty cheap as their weren’t high expectations. Pretty sure below 50k. He got TOTW. He got a winter upgrade to 82. All the TOTW got boosted. Eventually up to 87. Think it was up around 1 mil, definitely over 700k.

Last year it was only for TOTW but not for special MOTM from big matches, Team of the Group Stage from UCL, Team of the Knockout Rounds from UCL, Hero cards. This year it sounds like you get upgrades from them also.

 

So your regular card gets upgraded? I don’t follow
