Tool in Atlanta. They opened with Third Eye. Maynard was front and center dressed as a woman. Fucking amazing.

Limp Bizkit was with a group of like 20 high schoolers. Oh shit, just remembered that Kid Rock opened for them. Hahahahahaha. Think we missed him entirely though. I was already a bit down on them at this point (because I was an OG 3 dolla bill y’all Limp Bizkit fan) and I thought nookie sucked bawls. Fred sounded like shit. The acoustics were bad.

Bad acoustics can kill what might otherwise be a good concert. Fab Thunderbirds might have been better had the amplification not made the harmonica work absolutely painful to hear. Cheryl Crow opened for the Eagles in 1994 and we went out onto the RFK concourse under the stands during her set because the sound setup was so bad.

My friend's mom worked for an advertising company and she gave my buddy and I Creed tickets in 2000. We weren't fans but we were home from college and it was something to do on a weekday. Everyone in attendance was 30-50s and wearing heavy metal attire. We lasted I think 4 songs and left.

Florida Georgia Line was awful but it was my friends wife birthday so we all went. They only had like 10 songs and ended up covering 5-6 songs half of which were hip hop.

Maybe the most iconic was a concert I didn't really attend. We lived a half block from California Memorial Stadium my senior year 1989-90, and Paul McCartney came to town that spring. We had two dozen people on our roof outside the stadium singing along for free
