I liked it, But they clearly had issues getting space for a track etc. That said that RTR Mustang is awesome for it's price point. The others are just insanity.
Had a WTF moment when I first saw that but then I remembered how almost everything is staged. Wonder which South American country hates them more now- Argentina for the license plate or Colombia for this.
Anyone who likes the older Top Gear or Grand Tour should give Gordon, Gino, and Fred a try. Similar format, but revolving around food instead of cars - With Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Campo, and Fred Siriex. Not sure if it's ever been shown there, so you may need to torrence.
Seemed like The Grand Tour would be ending soon regardless but losing Clarkson’s Farm too will be a shame. If they were inclined to keep doing GT specials I think someone would pick them up, but they wouldn’t have the seemingly unlimited budget they have had at Amazon.
James crashing last special probably meant it was the end. Hammond hasnt been the same since his last crash
I watched all the GT, it had its moments, I enjoyed it, but it wasn't what TG was. The specials never came close to the TG specials. Having the celebrities and F1 drivers race in a shitty car was amazing. Glad they tried but they just had too many rules with what they couldn't do. The injuries and their ages have slowed them down. I just appreciate what TG was and enjoy some "Best of" on YT every now and then.
I just miss them testing all of the best cars. Grand Tour at the end seemed a bit too scripted. That said, I would still consume anything they put out there.
I’m sure Top gear was heavily scripted but it felt so much more organic. now they just script the same gags over and over again. “oh Jeremy does something way over the top and James car is now on fire. Haha!”
