I just kayaked the S. Platte River recently, and am feeling lucky nobody asked me if I had the 100,000 likes permit needed to kayak an American river.
1000 likes and I will eat at every Skyline Chili location in the US and poop in every location’s bathroom.
With close to 200 years of steel, power and chemical industry along the upper Pittsburgh and WV panhandle portion of the Ohio River, he’s going to have cancer by the time he gets to Wheeling.
Thank you kind sir. I’m also accepting toilet paper sponsorships (Charmin preferred but willing to consider other NIL opportunities).
I can get us on a tug when we know he's passing through an area...we could make life difficult for him fo sho. This is also an incredibly stupid "feat" to try.
The Ohio River is 981 miles long. If he kayaks at 2mph that's 490 hours without any breaks. I guess if he wants to devote a couple months of his life to this have at it.
I know very little about the Ohio River other than it's pretty big. Arkansas River is pretty big and suck under multiple people and vessels every year. But I'm sure he'll be good in a kayak.
The Ohio has it's areas where if you catch it at the wrong time, you're in trouble. I arrange barge movements for 934 of the 981 miles and the boat captains say the drift on the river this year is the worst they have ever seen as well. So, yeah...enjoy plowing through some piles of wood/hoping a log doesn't take you out too.
