2010 version is going to fix a ton of bugs and stuff so if you plan on buying one I'd wait a few months for them to get the first or second patch out for 2010 and get that.

the greatest version ever that i played was 03/04 back then it was called championship manager. I had a 20 year career with that finished up in like 2023 was a great waste of time

What the fuck is your problem??? I had never heard of the Football Manager. I never saw a commercial for it in Chile growing up or here in the US during the last 10 years. I am not into simulation games that much so I play FIFA anyway. As far as my being a US soccer fan cherry pickin my teams, I have explained my allegiances countless times already. I dont consider myself a fan of either team. My team is called Santiago Wanderers from Valparaiso, Chile. Thats where I grew up and I went to all their games growing up. Ivan Zamorano, the greatest Chilean player ever, played for Real Madrid when I was growing up and all of thier games were televised in Chile so I became a "fan" of them. I have followed LA Liga ever since and always rooted for Real even after Zamorano left but I dont consider myself a fan of them although I do know a great deal about them. As far as Chelsea, Drogba is my favortie player in the world so I watched all their games because of him and they grew on me. I said that even after he leaves I will continue watching them more than likely.
Funny I kept forgetting to start a thread on this. So I was looking into it like a week or two ago but saw that it doesn't have all the top leagues, right? At least right away. So how do you add all those leagues and teams and international teams and tournaments?
It has all the top leagues in the world and tournaments. You just have to pick to run that country in the game.
Oh okay, I thought it didn't. But what do you mean by run that country? Just select a team from there?
You select a country's football setup and then decide how many leagues you want to run. For example, If I choose the English setup, I can run it all the way down from Conference North/South.
All right, makes sense. I especially love how it includes international competition as well. May just have to kop this game or wait for '11.
So if you're managing a club team will you get offers from international teams periodically? Assuming you're doing well.

Playing it as we speak with Notts County. Their financial situation isn't the greatest, so no big transfer kit and wages for a L2 club. Currently in 2nd in my 3rd season at the January transfer window.
Currently have a 5 pt lead with a game in hand and 8 matches to go with Notts County for promotion to L1.
I decided to be Uruguay. I am currently 5th in qualifiers. In the two games I have played, I lost at Columbia and beat Ecuador at home.
Got promoted to L1 w/ Notts Co. Was offered Millwall's job, but their financial situation was pretty shitty. The transfer budget was less then what I had at not, but the wage budget was almost 30k more. Didn't take it as I want to move Notts all the way to the EPL. Currently sitting right around the relegation zone after 5 or so games. Beat Millwall in the opener. I also sold one of my young Irish defenders I poached off of a free transfer for 150k, triple what they said he was worth. He was out of contract at the end of the season and tons of teams were coming after him and he said he wanted to move to a bigger club. Figured I wouldn't re-sign him and may as well cash in on him.
The Argies are my next game at Buenos Aries. Brazil is later in 2009. (I am playing with FM2008). I am currently not a club.
I will probably manage Uruguay through the WC qualifiers, World Cup (if we make it) and Copa America. I have eye on taking an African job next.

this is my first South American job. I have led Scotland, Sweden, England, Serbia, Denmark, and Republic of Ireland to tournaments. I have won the Euros and WC with England and Euros with Serbia.

Never played the MLS, so I don't have any good tips as the rules are a bit diff then any of the Euro leagues. In 09 they still had a bunch of rules wrong and basically had it where there were no international player slots.
