I landed on top of the blue and red building and immediately got a guided missile. Was fantastic got to sit up there and use it like cruise missiles and just rack up kills
I’m just so bad. But finally had a decent round. Finished 5th, two kills with 10 people left and managed to find a gold skar and blue egg launcher. Spoiler but I only had three kills total
Fucking Tilted has me tilted. Won for my first solo on the iPad this morning so I decided to test my skills back on console. I suck again.
fwiw i got pretty close to winning a round. there were 4-5 of us left, i was playing well, had 8ish kills. ran up into a tower, thinking i was good, and then got 2-shotted by a dude with a shotgun because i didnt check the corner. I KNOW BETTER. FUCK. still playing

Also in the patch notes, I noted some slight nerf to running the double shotgun strategy. Spoiler Added a short equip time to many weapons (particularly, those with a slower rate of fire). This will reduce the effectiveness of quickly switching between weapons for high burst-damage. Removed the reloading animation on the Pump Shotgun. Weapons affected are: Rocket Launcher Hand Cannon Revolver Tactical Shotgun Pump Shotgun Heavy Shotgun Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle Hunting Rifle Crossbow Further, as of an hour ago, the guided missile is being taken off because of some animation issue. Cool, I hate coming up against that weapon and never feel like I have a safe enough structure set up to use it myself.
And good Christ they weren't wrong about faster loading times on XBox One (hence the 8.5+ gb update). I almost had whiplash from how fast that was. The game goes so fast that I'm not even mad about dying, I'm back into a game and back on the ground within a minute and a half. Final note: replay is amazing. "How the fuck did that guy kill me" is no longer a question that disappears into the void. Now you can see it from all angles.
So I have no idea what or if the update made a difference, but the Hand Cannon does 78 damage for a body shot and 187 for a head shot (source). That sound pretty damn close to the heavy shotgun. I've seen stats that suggest the tac shotty is much better in close range than the heavy shotgun. So, if range is the reason you use the heavy shotgun, why would someone hold a heavy shotgun vs a hand cannon? Is it for the spray in close battles? In that case, why take the heavy shotgun over a tactical shotgun?
Pick 3 weapons to hold from these options. Obviously the 3 could change depending on the circumstances of the game, so just pick 3 of what you'd generally feel most comfortable with. I'm trying to understand other player's preferences vs my own. Small Bullets: Blue Tact SMG Purple Silenced Pistol Blue Silenced SMG Blue Pistol Purple Minigun Medium Bullets: Blue Burst Blue AR Blue Revolver Blue Scoped AR Large Bullets: Purple Hand Cannon Blue Hunting Rifle Shotgun Bullets: Purple Tact Shotgun Blue Pump Shotgun Purple Heavy Shotgun Other: Purple Crossbow Fwiw, I'd probably go with: 1. Blue Burst 2. Purple Tactical Shotgun 3. Blue Scoped AR If the list included a SCAR, I think most would go with that. I'd also get a bit more clever with my close ranged weapon if the list left out the purple tactical shotgun, but included the gold silenced pistol, gold hand cannon, and/or a purple SMG (if that makes sense). (In which case I'd probably take Blue AR, purple SMG, gold hand cannon)
I need a long range but hate the rate of fire on the scoped AR, so a Blue hunting rifle. Blue Burst. Blue Pump.
imo the first shot accuracy buff has hurt the hunting rifle. It's almost easier to land shots with the AR at that range (for obviously less damage)

I learned how to build in save the world mode. No pressure of attack and plenty of materials to work with. Really hope they don’t add a training ground to the free game.
