Just had an 11 kill solo game. Died in the top 10 but was my best game ever by far. I'm in shock because I'm so horrendous at this game.
Did you get a scar? That’s the only way I get a bunch of kills if I can get a scar right off the bat.
if I don’t get the John Wick glider before 11pm central tonight I’ll probably never get it. CUtigers Odin @killerdebo69420
Somehow no. Killed like 7 people with a blue pump. I got pretty lucky and should have died like 3 times before I did. I have just been landing at dusty depot for the quick fights. Push everyone like a maniac
ON that note, what's the best way to get vbucks? Just via game? Didn't know if there is anyway to get them at a discount. I really want that damn dino suit that came out last night lol.
Just play non stop for like 2 weeks and you’ll get kind of good. I’ve provably spent about 30 in the first few weeks. I’ll provably spend more. This game hits my addictive personality hard. Best place to work on building is 50v50. Ive built some masterful team forts. It started with great sloped forts and has turned into giant Sloped forts with launch pad areas and an enclosed back as to not get outflanked.
Just got my first solo win in a looooong time. On a mobile hotspot. Id like to thank swapping X and L1
DrLupo is up to almost 50k viewers on Twitch and already has 600 new subs today. Can't believe that the esports ninja thing had that much of an impact on his channel.
I think the biggest thing that PUBG has on Fortnite is the circle game (that and the lack of jumping and shooting in close combat). In PUBG you can just find a car, and make it to the circle, and anywhere within it, relatively easily. You don't have to run a marathon just to make it to the edge of the circle where 6 other surviving teams will be funneling into. I think Fortnite could decrease the luck aspect of the game, by having more items that could get you across the map. Jump pads are way too rare to be depended on (especially when compared to how common vehicles are in PUBG), and I'm sure jetpacks will be the same way. What items could they add to decrease the luck of circle placement in your opinion? I think a drill would be cool, other teams could follow the tunnel, but you could also trap it if you wanted. A weather resistant hot air balloon, like the ones used for loot crates? Risky, as it could be shot out of the sky, but if it's your only choice, it'd be worth it. How about a trolley system? More difficult implementation imo, and I'm not sure I'd love it. But, it'd have to be more like a train of open air wagons with train stops. People could get killed riding it, but desperate times, desperate measures. Lastly, a gondola system? Like 300 wood gets you a ticket, and it drops you off in a little stop that also costs 300 to enter (if heading the other direction). I'm just spitballing, but I think the ability to move across the map is the biggest issue for Fortnite, as it pertains to a pro scene and reducing luck.
My buddy, who hates e-sports, would have a conniption seeing a pro athlete take gaming this seriously. Seeing as how I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum of said buddy, I love this.
I’m an idiot but just realized there are different controller settings for Xbox. What’s the most efficient one to use?
I've tried to like it but I just don't find the building aspect and the sort of tactics it encourages to be fun. Racing to get the high ground on someone then dropping in on them with a shotgun was fun for a bit but now meh. I do like the early part of the round, though.
I agree that the race for high ground to jumping shotgun fights sounds, feels, plays, and even looks ridiculous. It's definitely part of what I hate about the game.
I bet there's an effective strategy to combat the high ground rushers, I just don't know it, and am not sure it's been discovered yet.... If that makes sense. Edit: Other than turtling
I personally love the meta and the tactics of the game. It makes for incredibly tense gunfights throughout the round. Every encounter feels like the last encounter
I use combat pro but they just implemented a new builder on where when you are on the building controls, you press a different button for every piece rather than switching from piece to piece and hitting RT/R2. I haven’t used that yet because I don’t think I could get used to something other than combat pro but the new one is probably the best one I think.
