A buddy and co-worker of mine self-published his first crime fiction novel. It's free this week on Amazon if anyone is interested in a free legal thriller. It got a good review by Abovethelaw. I know he would appreciate feedback if anyone has any critiques. Edit: if it is no longer free I can get a free copy sent to anyone who is interested. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014RC0NFI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1444133084&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=foreclosure s.d. thames http://abovethelaw.com/2015/10/standard-of-review-foreclosure-manages-to-make-mortgages-interesting/
It was still free, so I dl'd it. Really curious about this self publishing, how many books has he actually sold?
Just curious, has he tried going through an agent/publisher and getting promotions/marketing? Fairly impressive. I've thought about self publishing as well, just curious how he got into it.
I think he has employed some online service to help out with marketing and a blog tour. I know he did a lot of the marketing on his own by just reaching out to people (e.g. the ATL review). I'll get more details.
A really good friend of mine from high school wrote this one. http://www.amazon.com/Infinite-Cycl...s+(The+Infinite+Cycles+of+Qeauryx)+(Volume+1) Haven't actually read it yet as I've had so much else to read on my plate. He's got a phD in theology and teaches at St Mary's so I'm sure it has some biblical influences but I think it will be an interesting read. There's also a soundtrack to it.
