Went to a funeral on Wednesday for a childhood friend’s mom. She was anti-vax and spent the last 3.5 months of her life in the hospital with COVID. My friend and his brother were vocal about how stupid it was that she died because she wouldn’t get vaccinated; his brother, who is a captain in the Army, actually called out his dad and other siblings in his eulogy over it.
Wow, but awesome for him for doing that hoping it will convince any unvaccinated dipshit who attended the funeral.

Besides being an RN Jackie also had several comorbidities. She was obvious very overweight, and she had several autoimmune diseases APS/CIDP/vasculitis/dysautonomia. I looked up heath organizations recommendations on COVID vaccines related to these. While there was some early concern with Astrazenca, the consensus was that it was recommended for people suffering from these diseases to get vaccinated. However, Jackie maintained her anti-vaxx position, and we see the results of that stance now. To be honest, I don't love posting overweight women, the comments can be quite vicious and it takes a lot of time to moderate. However, it's good for others who might be in her position to take heed, so I will post this. But, please, no calling her names, no comparisons to extra-large animal species, and please don't compare her to celestial bodies or architectural features. Was this RN anti-vaxx? Australian media reported that Djokovic's team had applied for the wrong type of visa for a person with a medical exemption. Djokovic's lawyers are expected to appeal the decision, which came after the 20-time major winner had to spend more than eight hours at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport waiting to find out if he would be allowed into the country. Djokovic's father, Srdjan Djokovic, told the B92 internet portal that his son was held "in a room which no one can enter'' at the airport, guarded by two policemen. Djokovic's participation in the Australian Open has become a hot political topic, with many Australians furious that he was granted an exemption to enter the country.
