Dyche is a great manager but its just terrible to watch and prior ownership never had ambition. Brighton been playing incredible defense of late so suspect Newcastle is most vulnerable. Idk which side has worst fixtures remaining.
Sadly you guys have the toughest road and Newcastle the easiest. Well most opportunities for points. Newcastle still have West Brom (A), Sheffield (H), Burnley (A) plus your match (A) on final day. Plus at Anfield in a couple weeks so a guaranteed 3. Brighton also play West Brom (A) and Sheffield (A) along with the Newcastle match. Burnley have Sheffield (A) and play you guys (A) along with the Newcastle match.
Right now it’s +4 over them and +3 over Burnley. Will really depend on what they do in those matches against West Brom and Sheffield both still have City at home also but Newcastle is towards the end when things will be locked up
putting aside the handball discussion, another frustrating display in which we show we are completely lost in the final third How Lemina does not bury that shot before the half is a disgrace Just have to hope for one of Newcastle/Brighton/Burnley to be measurably worse than us down the stretch, and maybe steal one from a team playing for Euros/FA Cup
So I get to watch this one and it’s weird thinking that no matter how much FFC posses the ball they won’t score but here we are.
Team probably gets relegated due to the hole the dug but man does Scott Parker have them playing with quality Like some of the set pieces he draws up. Just no finishing ability.
I don’t think they get relegated tbh especially if they get 3 here......Newcastle is fucking atrocious and falling apart as a team
Brighton underlying xG stats suggest they could turn it around. I just dont know where they find the goals. Lamptey will be out for a while for them. Newcastle deserve relegation for hiring Steve Bruce and that roster construction. Burnley has done just enough of their bullshit, but same for them. Fulhams remaining fixture just suck. City next, then I think Leeds and Villa. Have to hope Villa are still without Grealish but Martinez is playing insane in Goal.
it is over just depressing its at the expense of a shit manager like Steve Bruce and an ambitionless owner
Painful watch. Aside from Mitro’s shot in the 4th minute we were just typically awful at creating chances. Lots of Twitter chatter about Mitro being on form but it took a sloppy mistake by Mings for him to score. Pretty sure that the failure to get a scoring threat will ultimately lead to relegation, but given the short transfer window and finances due to COVID I can’t fault the front office for it. There was just too big a gap to close between our talent level and that of a viable PL side
Assuming we can't stay up I'm bummed we'll be losing guys like Andersen, Lookman, and Areola, but at the same time, I'm kinda ready for a rebuild and seeing some of the younger guys come in and play. The yo yo of playing our champ guys, then buying overpriced PL players only to go back to the same champ players had gotten old.
part of the last Fulhamish pod was dedicated to the success of the U-18's, and I was thinking the same - that it would be nice to see guys like Jasper, Carvalho, etc get some serious experience if we go down
And I'm good with a couple average championship seasons watching some of these younger guys develop. I fear we'll just fall right back into the same guys like johansen, christie, cairney, ak, etc next year in the hope that we'll bounce back up.
No Tosin is interesting, not sure why Scott is going with Kongolo but hope it pays off. hopefully bdc and mitro can work together today. must win.
I saw some speculation this week that Kongolo might get in since Tosin has had a run of poor form and it looks like that’s what happened. in Vegas and watching in a deserted British pub. 5 patrons in here and I’m the only one watching the game not playing video poker Robinson with some surprisingly good service so far but of course we still can’t score. edit: fucking hell edit edit: thank VAR
