Great for Neeskens as he's not good enough for the PL. Seems like they wanted Kamara but got beat by Dijon, so they settled for Kebano
Lookman up top is interesting. Hope Maja is fit enough to play the entire 2nd half because I don’t want to see Cav for more than 45 minutes
I’m getting to watch this game which is unusual for me. Looks like Fulham is controlling the ball but just not doing much with the chances they get. Off topic a bit but for some unknown reason I have never liked West Ham. Like I have an irrational dislike for that side with no good reason for it that I can discern.
I think most people have a dislike for West Ham, they give off a wannabe a top side vibe but typically end up being underwhelming and posers.....plus I hate they play in such a generic blah stadium with zero character
Pretty much sums up the team since November. Case in point Reed feeds Lookman into the box and he plays with the ball for a second and then loses it
Cavaliero just completely blew that chance. I wish I knew enough about futbol/soccer to understand what this side needs player/tactics wise to improve.
thankfully this was 2 years before i started following the villa. so many things would be broken if that same happened today. that was an absolute piss missile
Nice to see the streak of draws end with that performance at one of our many house of horrors in the Premier League. Much more fluid up top with Maja, which can be said for any game without Mitrovic in the lineup. If we had decent defense reinforcements and a striker brought in at the start of the season (I know Tony Khan was too busy with his AEW wrestling scripts and whatever he does for the Jaguars to actually do his job at Fulham) we’d be looking much better, but it’ll be interesting to see what the next few months brings. The team looks inspired in most matches, which is a stark difference from our last two stints in the top flight. Hoping for the a great escape, but prepared for more of the same.
With Newcastle losing there is now an opportunity to right the wrongs of the last 2 months and make it a real fight to stay up Burnley will not have Ben Mee on wednesday
on a conference call so I've been watching on mute that sequence just before half I thought they scored for sure
So frustrating how we have thoroughly dominated this match and still can’t figure out what to do in the final third.
One of the Fulhamish guys who hadn’t been on the podcast for a while said he’d been “on the bench longer than a Scott Parker substitute” and I lol’d because it’s so true.
