Welp, not really sure what adjustments can be made for the 2nd half. Entire team looks unmotivated. Maybe bring on AK to get some size on the field.
Also, maybe move odoi outside and bring in Christie for Taggert. We are getting bumped off every ball. Derby is so much more physical.
Did I hear on the broadcast that there’s no away goal rule in the playoff? That would help. Still like our chances, the magic of the cottage will come through for us.
This is such a monumental day for the direction of this club. If we don't advance today and win at Wembley the entire shape of the team is destroyed. In addition to Mitro and Piazon going back to Newcastle and Chelsea next year, if we don't get promoted we'll probably lose Betts, Fredericks, Cairney, and of course Sess, and who knows if it stops there. In theory that would also give us a lot of cash to rebuild but that's always a risky proposition.
Double checked and luckily away goal rule doesn't apply in playoffs, so all we have to do is win by 1 to at least force a shootout. I imagine Derby will just park the bus, so it'll be tough to break through. Need to take care of the few chances we may get on goal.
Gotta score in the first half to level and then I think Fulham will score couple more in the second half once Derby is forced to push up more
Don't forget that Kalas and Targett are loans too. Our Defense would be Ream, Odoi, Christie, and ?? Only plus maybe from an American perspective is you'd have to think De la Torre would get more time with the exodus but we'd likely have a fall like Reading did after finishing 3rd last year.
decent chances so far btw if anyone is in the Fulham Football Club fb group there's a guy live posting a shot of his TV. I'll take what I can get
Well done Fulham. Deserved the win tonight for sure. Also, never thought I'd see a day when Tim Ream is serenaded by the crowd with most of his touches.
