I'm not mad about it. He was one of our most expensive players and isn't in our top half players of the year on a championship squad. Use that money to put towards some new guys.
I would have preferred a Championship side but another year in League One is better than nothing. Hopefully we can sort out whether he has a future or not

We’ve done a great job filling in other places but if we don’t get a 2nd and 3rd CB we are done for. I get that they don’t want to drive a hard bargain but I don’t get why Diop hasn’t been finalized yet, especially since we ended up with a good deal for Leno. It kills me that Palace grabbed Richards and we apparently weren’t even in the mix. I’m at the point where I’m wondering how Chalobah would do at CB
Casting a wide net now funnily enough I put it out there on the Fulhamish Telegram chat early yesterday that we should go get Nat Phillips from #Liverpool and then there was a tweet today that we are after him I'm happy with all of the other additions we've made but with only Ream and Tosin at CB we are done for if we can't get at least two more. Not that it matters for the first game - we are toast regardless - but we need points from Wolves/Brentford/Brighton
loan would be fine imo we don't have any straight loans at the moment and 1-2 loanees per season isn't bad
I don't hate it but he's not the CB we need. Good 3rd or 4th option though so at least we have some depth now
Being a loan makes it a good call. Dont lock yourself into a player like that. CB with plenty of PL minutes. Seems like its Diop or bust right now.

Sounds like a meniscus tear for Solomon. What a saga. Wilson is out 2 months also so it’s pretty much BDR and Neeskens for the near future. Rumors that we are close to an agreement for Patrick Kluivert which should at least provide some depth in other transfer news, we’ve finally reached an agreement for Issa Diop so we are up to 4 CB’s finally, and been offered Jason Adenauer on a free. I like the prospects of that one as he can shore up CB plus get in the DM rotation with Reed and Palhinha since we are playing the double pivot this season.

Not even sure who we would sub in on the wing. Wilson and Solomon being out is a killer. Our attacking players on the bench are Stansfield, Muniz, Cairney, and Francois. Hope we see Stansfield at some point but surely he wouldn’t be a halftime sub
