yea too much talent to be that poor, honestly the roster construction is fine its just poor player deployment. Ollie Watkins exhibit A. Dude was a stud at brentford, now a shell of himself.
Seems like every day there’s another article or blog post talking about this but I think it’s much more likely that he gets a call up after the WC Even if Phillips is out ? I don’t see him breaking in over Mount, Hendo, Bowen, Gallagher, Smith-Rowe, Ward-Prowse, and Bellingham. Maybe over Lingard since Reed is a 6 or 8 and Lingard is an attacking mid but you don’t just put a guy with zero caps on your WC roster Jorts
My point was England's pool for the #6 is thinning out. And its hard to find someone playing better defensive mid than Reed. Mount, Bowen, Gallagher, ESR, maybe JWP, and Jude arent playing there. But obviously agree a guy without any national team involvement isnt getting the call. Was just saying the ginger is balling.
ESR has no business in this conversation. Recovering from groin surgery & when healthy isn't on the same level as the others being discussed.
Fun game despite the score but another 2 points that we’ll rue. Hopefully not for safety but definitely for table position at the end of the season
Damn. He got a lot more run out that I thought he would, but at least I don't think it will be a huge loss since he would have been relegated to sub duty with Wilson coming back.
not a huge loss on the field but gutted for him because he's such a cheerful guy and a nice spark of energy
bummer. Surely this isn't the same foot injury that he got last Int'l break. If so shame on the Fulham medical team
Southampton was really pissing me off so I’m thrilled with the result. Wish Mitro could have buried that PK.
It’s head scratching for such an amazing finisher to suck so bad at pens time to give the job to someone else
Little too Scott Parkery for my taste in the second half constantly absorbing pressure but cannot argue with another win on the road (mentioned on the broadcast that was our first back to back road wins in the PL since 2013). Leno was absolutely incredible and we’ll see what happens against Chelsea without Mitro. Hope we play some reserves and academy kids against Hull (Tigers) in the FA cup on Saturday with our lack of rotation this period.
My guess is we will see Rodak, Mbabu, Tosin, Kurzawa, Chalobah, Wilson, Vinicius, and hopefully Solomon getting some game time, then at least Nic Harris from the kids. Would like the other CB and other CM to be kids as well.
Close, but wow at Mbabu not being even being able to get in the lineup. Another RB is a must during this window hate that Harris isn’t starting but I get wanting to have Pereira work with Vinicius with Mitro suspended for the next match vs Chelsea
Can’t find anything about a Jedi injury but seems like if Kurzawa was just getting a run out he’d have at least made the bench
