Love Kenny but he was only healthy 50% of the time so I agree with the club that it was time to move on
Fulham are pursuing a deal to sign Brazilian striker Romulo from Turkish club Goztepe. His suitors include RB Leipzig, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce and Zenit Saint Petersburg, with multiple offers submitted and talks continuing. unfortunately no home fixture while I'm there, but Fulham/Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 8/30 will be. Getting tickets for sure but trying to figure out if I get away end tickets or splurge on midfield tickets. For those that have been to an away match, did you wear away gear or keep it low key?
I kept it lowkey bc I sat in Shed End of stamford bridge and it is chaotic. So do not sit that side. The sidelines of stamford bridge are very very chill and quiet. You may be fine there, everyone stays seated and its pretty docile. Ive only done that once but it was for a big FA cup match. For the pubs/bars, you would need to pregame down in fulham proper (yea, true, stamford bridge is technically in fulham) bc Chelsea bars are strict about away fan gear.
I am going to check out Fulham Pier in 2 weeks now that its finally opened up their instagram looks fantastic. Just hope Tony punts on building the pool and uses it on transfers.
any recommendations here? definitely doing a craven cottage tour at some point, hopefully can do that ahead of the derby that way i know of a few good pub options. i'm sure the tour guide will have recommendations also
sorry for poor formatting but wanted to cobble this together instead of forgetting for Fulham specific = https://www.thegoldenlionfulham.co.uk/ These arent fulham specific (maybe they are, ive been for rugby or tennis) but very solid options https://www.durellarmsfulham.com/live-sport https://butcombe.com/the-brown-cow-pub-fulham/ Easy bus ride up Kings Road to the Bridge from those 3 options. And lets see if Fulham Pier is open for watch parties or pregame on non home match days? Pregaming on the Thames would be epic, then catch bus from there. (fwiw the Crabtree or Dukes Head are my favorite Fulham supporter ones but opposite sides of area from where you need to be) not sports-specific pubs but Parsons Green will have the vibes your wife will like... Aragon House backyard patio + Dukes on the Green + The White Horse are all right on the green and we go whenever we are there. (Parsons Green is essential london vibe)
keep it low key, although the environment cravens cottage this past time I could have worn my Everton kit and no one would have really cared
in Chelsea idk bc my spots there all closed due to Covid Santa Maria Pizzeria + The Tommy Tucker Pub has been my go-to (but Tommy Tucker is MASSIVE chelsea fc pub so you gotta wear neutral stuff)
the white horse is great spot ! Had brunch at Sam’s Riverside before the game, that was a solid spot as well
