Ideally: - mic doesn’t pick up much background noise at all - wireless (or at least just plugs into Xbox controller) - doesn’t look like shit or I’m some esports wannabe Looks like arctis and razer have some good options if anyone has experience. I bought a hyper X cloud alpha for 100. It was my first headset but I really like it. I plug it into my xbox controller.
I got one like this, too. Can’t remember the price. My only complaint is that I can hear my voice through the headset when I talk.
Ended up getting the Steelcase Actris with bluetooth. Pretty cool how you can mix game audio/chat from controller with Bluetooth music/podcasts from another device

It’s pretty nice. Really comfortable, well made and not terribly plastic-y. Also don’t look like you still live in mom’s basement and drive a lowered Civic
You mute it by flipping the microphone arm up. Whenever it’s muted it or unmuted it makes a small ding to let you know.
Shut up and take my money. But seriously, that's my biggest complaint with the Xbox One S controller/headset combo. I have to mute it in the settings. Not exactly ideal mid fight.
