Ok, so I get that I need a high dpi but whats a good range? Also, I realize i have to go check the 'fit'. I think I'm a claw guy too. I'm supplementing my gaming while out of town. I usually play console. Was just gonna hook up my xbox one controller via bluetooth but have heard mouse and keyboard is the bestest. Not looking to spend more than fifty bucks too. Any input would be great, thanks.
DPI isn’t super important. My mouse goes into the thousands, but for FPS, I usually use 400-700 DPI tops. I use the Logitech G502. $49.99, programable buttons, DPI changes on the fly if you’re into that. Lasered plenty of noobs with the G502.
2nd on the Logitech. Fell for the hype and bought a razer and it was the biggest piece of shit I have owned. Constant problems with wheel and sticking buttons. Maybe just a defective unit, but I've been more than pleased with the 502. Probably the biggest jump I've had was not a mouse, but going from a regular to a good mechanical keyboard made a world of difference.
I use a steel series rival 600. Fits my hand nice, and it doesn't feel too heavy. Moved to it from the deathadder elite (which I returned because it felt too big for my hand, height wise I guess?) and the Logitech g502 (great mouse, but it feels like a brick once you get used to a lighter mouse). I used the g502 for well over a year without any issues. As for DPI -- it doesn't really make a big difference imo. I use 800 DPI on a 1440p monitor. DPI is a preference thing, and all games have adjustable sensitivity anyway. Not sure if screen resolution matters when choosing a DPI, but 800 feels a lot faster on my work pc for some reason (1080p) I also echo the statements about mechanical keyboards. Going from a mushy key to a clicky one is so damn satisfying
