As a person who likes going to see movies at movie theaters, I do*. *I saw hit man in theaters but the overarching point remains. People should have the option to watch movies in theaters if they’d like.
people who like going to theaters and think that's an important think to keep alive despite Netflix's metamorphosis into a streaming giant.
I just hope Adam Driver doesn't yell "Time Stop!" any time until the release so I don't have to wait another second
Enjoyed it way more than I thought I was going to. Wasn’t planning on seeing it in theaters, much less on opening night but a buddy dragged me to it with his kids. Spoiler thought it should’ve just ended with the vacation. Really hoping they’re not planning on doing a fucking trilogy with this.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a good time. Lots of people dressed up, packed house. Movie is pretty clumsy but it doesn't really matter. Pretty fun and funny if you're into Beetlejuice, which I am. Arthur Conti maybe the worst actor in the game.
Finally got around to seeing the new Alien last night: Spoiler It was nice to see them continue the Alien sequel tradition of logic-defying plot drivers for excuses to put people in alien encounters: 1) W-Y, per the plot of Alien, sent the Nostromo crew to LV-426 to collect a specimen...so naturally when they wanted another one they combed interstellar space for the dead one instead of just going back to LV--426? 2) So then they did their super-important (and inexplicable) cloning exercise on the Romulus and then just abandoned everything when it went sideways and left the space station to crash? The sets and aesthetics were great, but basically every other fan service call back was lame to groan-inducing. But the android character was solid and Ash was one of the better CGI actor restorations I've seen so far in a movie.
Really enjoyed Beetlejuice 2. Delia (Catherine O'Hara) was much better written this time around and was a highlight of the movie.
Agreed. I also liked how they handled Charles and not letting Jeffery Jones being a piece of shit ruin the character.
I forgot that they would have to do anything with him but the way they dealt with it was excellent. Spoiler Harry belafonte song sung by the children as he is lowered in the grave got me so good
