From listening to KJB the EU has like a million organizations to support and subsidize movies made in various municipalities so this doesn’t surprise me. That’s how three enormous money-losers in Diabolic got made.
Couldn’t sleep last night (every night) so figured I’d watch Emilia Perez so I could feel alright shitting on it. Man that movie stinks.
Just watched Godzilla Kong the new Empire, and the watchers…. they’re pretty good pretty entertaining
does IMDb or letterboxd have a good way to check out movies that are on streaming services that you have? I've half-assed poked around a bit but haven't found an obvious way to check out the best movies on services you subscribe to
Letterboxd will do that if you pay for pro, otherwise it will give you the Justwatch info with all the sites it's available on
I pay for Letterboxd pro and if you click on a movie, you can see where it is available for stream, rent, and purchase. pretty handy. You can also create a watchlist and then filter by streamer (HBO MAX, for example), and it'll show you all the movies on your watchlist that are available to stream on Max.
The JustWatch app can do this for free. I will say it’s not the most user friendly but it works. I usually only use it for prime and Mubi because it’s difficult finding full lists of what is on those streamers
Love how this train company has a dispatch setup that looks like it is occurring inside the FBI or DoD
I feel like Tony repurposed a bunch of sets he had for Taking Pelham 123 (which also had csi sets for dispatchers)
Chris Pine has had an interesting career. He’s a movie star without being recognized as a “movie star.” Hollywood should be making whatever movies the guy wants to make, not forcing him to self produce his passion project (haven’t seen Poolman). Dude was absolute nails in Hell or High Water
Surely she sees it and agrees when you talk about Pine's charisma. I mean just watch that first Star Trek, or Dungeons and Dragons.
unstoppable kicks ass and you get to listen to tarantino on the rewatchables talk about it glowingly after watching it
Chris Pine was also really good amongst the dumpster fire that was Don’t Worry Darling. That movie needed so much more Pine.
Now that Chris Pratt is a chud and Chris Evans seems to want to have a gross mustache in every movie, he might be my favorite Chris now.
Pine has always been my favorite Chris Smokin' Aces - hilarious Star Trek - Incredible portrayal of a young Kirk where he channels the right amount of Shatner Unstoppable - awesome Wonder Woman - I watched him more than Gadot lol Into the SpiderVerse - in it for like 5 minutes but was great as Peter D&D Honor Amongst Thieves - I'd follow Pine to Mordor
Everyone: David Ayer please stop making copaganda movies Ayer: Okay, I’ll make a movie about a rogue construction worker who is heavily invested in what he deems human trafficking
