will Millie Bobby Brown ever be in a good movie? I have no interest in seeing in her anything. Finn, who I don't really care for, at least went weird and into indie horror.
Probably not and I don’t think she has any interest in doing that. She seems to have an open disdain for movies
Really enjoyed Winona Ryder sneak dissing her about this https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/wi...oung-actors-not-interested-movies-1236123227/
since streaming killed cable, these are basically just the made for tv movies they are just very stupid about giving them 9 digit budgets
I don’t know if they’re actually doing this but wouldn’t they be incentivized to lie about those budget numbers? They pretty obviously lie about how many people watch their original content
what does spending 7x more than they should incentivize them? they absolutely lie about the watch numbers, but lying about spending more on budgets doesnt seem beneficial
I thought Red One would be hard to top for “movie written by an algorithm for morons” but I underestimated Netflix and Chris Pratt yet again
what would you consider the best movie Netflix has cranked out? Hitman? ((posting this knowing full well I'll miss something completely obvious))
It’s worth noting that we should separate the movies they acquired versus actually produced from the beginning because they acquired hitman after it was already done. They used to hand out a lot of money to elite directors for passion projects to try to win an Oscar but they’ve seemingly given up on that (the Irishman, Roma, Mank, etc)
No but they gave him the money before he started making it so idk how you want to classify that. He made the first and then they gave him a bag to make it into a series
Thought Mickey17 was ok. It felt like it would occasionally lose momentum and some of the scenes could have been shortened or cut altogether.
It’s so fucking good. Hawke and Hoffman rule but don’t overlook young Michael Shannon being, shockingly, intense as fuck
dont particularly care for this artwork or steelbooks in general, but the market dictated this as my 4k option
Not yet, but I've watched Naked, Life is Sweet, Secrets and Lies, and Working Girls recently. All great
