based on previews I've seen lately wanna see One Battle After Another (the Pynchon book Vineland is like a bottom 10 novel for me but Paul Thomas Anderson with Leo and del Toro is pretty exciting) Caught Stealing Honey Don't!
Watching mission impossible and they need to switch back to shittier cameras so the caked-on makeup isn't so distracting
You always know Wes’s movies will only grow in appreciation upon additional viewings. Because when he is gone and done making movies, nothing will ever be remotely like it.
You never know how badly you need to see a hand pump, blood transfusion gag in a movie until one is presented to you
Rewatched Predator 2 yesterday. Forgot how batshit that movie is. The gun fight to open the movie is INSANE. The Scorpios get into a seemingly endless gunfight with cops over 2 injured motorcycle cops, then go into their hideout, which is a SHARED OCCUPANCY with seemingly a seamstress sweat shop across the hall. And inside the hideout they have MULTIPLE Barrett .50 cals, MULTIPLE grenade launchers, 2 separate piles of cocaine for snorting, and the leader is double fisting Uzis. Also, the movie seems to forget that the Predator’s camouflage makes him invisible not intangible. Bill Paxton unloads 2 full clips directly at him directly in front of him in a subway car and hits nothing. Also, Danny Glover’s pants in every scene are comically huge. Fun times. Spoiler I’m too thicc for this shit. Also, the scorpios are supposedly losing the drug war to King Willie’s Jamaican gang, and when Danny Glover meets him it’s not in a lush hideout, but a filthy alley. I guess that’s why King Willie was winning….low overhead.
Anyone seeing materialists this weekend? Interested in some takes. People’s reviews are kind of all over the place. I’ll be seeing it middle of next week
I enjoy the fact that Prey showed how the Predators got the revolver they gave to Glover at the end of P2
ya and I dont get why she keeps getting roles I get it from the look stand point but just destroys everything she touches
She’s not even good looking for a romcom leading lady imo and she has the personality like if bro was a woman
I just don't understand how Dakota can have such charismatic and talented parents (not to mention her grandmother and stepfathers) and just be such a dud on screen
took a look at Dakota Johnson's IMDB, micro cameos aside, I haven't seen a single thing she's featured in
Guess Wes Anderson leased a bunch of famous paintings for Zsa-zsa's home. There were security guards around the set to protect the paintings. king.
lol I know for a fact my wife has seen this flick I remember passing through while she watched it and making fun of her for it Since then, every time she’s looking for a movie to watch, she’ll ask me if she’s seen it.
Went back and started listening to the Big Picture episode about this flick, haven’t gotten to where Sean interviewed Wes but it’s been great so far
