If you like Wes and Wilder you should check out some Ophuls if you haven't. Letter from an Unknown Woman and Earrings of Madame de
that's how King originally wrote it. Richards was free to go anywhere but he had to make 1 or 2 video recordings a day and mail them back to the network. The game was obviously rigged so the Hunters could get a bead on the runner by using the postal codes from the mailed videos to get a general sense of where he was at. the general public were offered rewards for any info leading to the runner's capture/death
Not the needle drop I was expecting Watch the trailer for Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, starring Renate Reinsve ❤️ The film will be released in theaters on November 7.— Letterboxd (@letterboxd.social) 2025-07-01T13:44:10.026Z
A man of culture. I have seen Earrings of Madame de and loved it. Letters from an Unknown Woman has been on my list for awhile but I have not gotten around to it yet. Hopefully I change that soon
I love him as an actor but that is not who I would have thought of when casting M. Bison, hope it works out
I also would never have believed Raul Julia could have pulled it off but he killed it in this absolutely horrible film
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I am glad you appreciated the art more than I and I am glad it enriched your spirit and life though it did not mine
f1 was such generic slop kosinsky & mcquarrie really need to take maybe like 5 minutes with a script outside of set pieces
Jonathan Glazer is an English filmmaker. He began his career in theatre before transitioning into film, directing the features Sexy Beast, Birth, Under the Skin, and The Zone of Interest
should have waited until January/February of next year and not sandwich it in between F1 and Jurassic World during the summer but Jason doesn’t care about money tbh
Finally watched Thunderbolts...thought it was fine but overrated based on the reactions it had been getting. Florence Pugh is great, everything else was just kind of there. Absolutely hated the final "battle"
I think why I liked it so much is because the final "battle" never really happens. Instead of them tearing down city buildings, it became an internal mental battle.
sure, everything is derivative but for marvel to shy away from destroying a city is at least them choosing something
Yeah, but winning with the power of….a group hug? They did a better version of that in Guardians 1. And, the villain gets away because she called a press conference? Florence Pugh was great in it though. I didn’t expect I would actually be saying this, but I think I liked Brave New World more.
Didn't think I'd be saying it, but I was underwhelmed with one and the other beat my low expectations.
Fyi Jaws movie tickets are now on sale for the end of August. I think I am opting to see it in 3-D over IMAX because I’ve shockingly heard of how awesome the 3-d conversion is.
