Saw the Taylor album release film, which was fun. Also heard multiple people comment how long it had been since they’ve been in a movie theater, and I’m hopeful things like this can be another way to get people back in the habit of seeing movies in person.
The Smashing Machine was a little different than I thought it would be. Think Dwayne did a good job overall. Spoiler Kerr didn’t really cross any lines that I was expecting him to being a drug/steroid addict. I was actually feeling for him living with his girlfriend.
Was on vacation last weekend through middle of this week and have been able to avoid spoilers and am finally sitting down to see One Battle After Another at an early matinee this morning. Beyond excited.
Maybe just me, but I'd prefer Taylor's music not occupy the large format screens and 30 other showtimes each day.
watched THE STING last night and it was excellent going to be following along with the rewatchables' redford month because i haven't seen most of his classics
I mean it’s running for 3 days total. I think we can find enough screens for everything else. They had a bunch of screenings where I was at yesterday but still had tons of showings for the big stuff right now. I’d be more bothered if it was taking them up for an extended theater window.
Watching In the Mouth of Madness. Sam Neill is the lead in the biggest movie of all time and his next movie is a 8 million dollar budget horror film. Dude has no ego. Such an awesome actor.
its hard to get into a movie with a super annoying kid in one of the central roles same reason why i hate the tin drum
So far so good... So far so good... So far so good. It's not how you fall that matters. It's how you land. Spoiler la haine, five stars
1:10 showing of OBAA today and there might have been 12 people in the screening with the us. I purposely avoided any and all previews or chatter about the movie going in and can honestly say I sat down with a blank slate as to the plot. Of course, I loved it. I'd be hard pressed to consider a better movie made in the last ten years. I also laughed a lot in a quiet theater to the point where I started to get self conscious. Biggest laugh for me? Spoiler Tally: What kind of pussy do I like? Bill: Mexican hairless
I enjoyed The Smashing Machine. But I've never seen a movie that was supposed to take place in Arizona that was so obviously filmed in Albuquerque
Can’t wait to see this again tomorrow Life!— Marshall Newhouse (@mnewhouse.bsky.social) 2025-10-07T04:54:12.651Z
The dirty dozen being mentally ill and intellectually disabled people (or a black guy) is such a crazy choice
couldn't take it seriously once I saw Courtney Gains in it, I was like "they shitted his house in Can't Buy Me Love"
The Lost Bus was so damn stupid. The amount of "down on his luck" shit McConaughey's character went through in the first ~15min of that movie was remarkable
They called Scott Caan and he said his calendar was wide open. So they’ve cleared that schedule at least.
