You arguing with the weirdest film nerd this world has to offer. Licorice Pizza is great
Some of y'all were never in love between the ages of 16 and 25 and it shows
Don’t they literally kiss at the end?
blu ray people...Any great physical releases recently? Have a GC to burn at Amazon.
I might just end up with this
Purple light in the canyons.....
This list is pretty accurate tbh
Maestro would be the one I would leave off
When did you see Maestro?
Pretty sure American fiction has only played at festivals and press screenings too
Phantom Thread was much better than I expected
An absolute banger. Love that movie
Phantom thread is a masterpiece
Phantom Thread OST>>>
I saw maestro and did not think it was very good
When I was fucking your mom
Maestro is not Tár so it's off the list.
Looks like the new dump flower seedling is shaping up to be a film bro that’ll bloom via a bunch of slurs posted during the 96th Academy Awards
I did leave one at a funeral parlor once. You know, the wife and I were distraught. We came back that night and apparently the little tyke had been with the body all day. And he was okay. After six, seven weeks, came around and started talking again. You know, kids are resilient
I thought Maestro was excellent
but was it as good as Tar
I mean leonard berstein is a real person so a bit of a diff beast also i never got along to seeing Tar which i should rectify
wtf Lydia Tar isn't real?
I miss him so much. Hardest a celebrity death ever hit me.
Have watched Planes/Trains/Automobiles, Uncle Buck and Home Alone in the last few days. John Candy was a national treasure (John Hughes too)
Mr. Hartoonian is very nice and I’m learning a lot. He’s teaching me how to be impatient. Anyway, I have to go now. What do you think I do, sit around and write letters all day?
tar wasn't good so
didnt care for it
I think he’s being a bit dramatic but it’s a valid point. I enjoyed the first Marvel run, especially from like 2015 to Endgame but have enjoyed it taking a back seat the last couple years.
I know I’m in the very very very minority. But I fucking hated There will be blood. HATED.
Wait what is this new Godzilla movie?! Not playing in any theaters near me unless I have absolutely no infer plots from titles and posters.
Godzilla Minus One
Your opinions are valid even if they're bad
Going to be a Dudes Rock summer.
The grumpy man softened by X (usually a nice kid) trope is fun. I've watched a few this year, so I figured that I'd give A Man Called Otto a try. It's exactly what you'd expect, and it's fine.
Btw if you like the trope and Bill Murray, St. Vincent was pretty fun.
It doesn’t exactly fit this formula because Dennehy isn’t a dick at the beginning but Driveways is worth a watch if you haven’t seen that one. Very good, sweet movie
Hunt for the Wilderpeople comes to mind, as well.
Ahh ok this finally explains your xbox parties
What’s the opinion on Gus Van Sant itt? Watched finding forrester a few weeks ago with my daughter and she loved it seemingly as much as I did
Actually rewatched it recently and love that movie.
only seen GWH and FF so I don't really have an opinion on him other than the fact that I loved his portrayal of himself in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Saw Saving Private Ryan was leaving Netflix soon. Had to fire it up for the feels
Last Days and Elephant are two interesting/odd movies.
Leave The World behind on Netflix is great.
Pretty funny, mysterious, and intense. Cool concept for what is the cause of everything. Wish they would do a little universe aspect of this. Like tell other stories revolving around what’s going on in the background of this movie.
The ending is fitting, but happens way too out of nowhere. Can’t say I’ve ever experienced that with a movie. Can’t tell how I feel about it.
the boy and the heron is very good
Champions with Woody Harrelson has mixed reviews but I liked it and it fits this trope
(Grumpy basketball coach has to coach special needs kids)
May December - just alright
The Holdovers - phenomenal
