Intolerable Cruelty is an underrated movie that’s seemingly forgotten because of all the other great stuff the Coen Brothers have made
Just watched ambulance. i get theres usually a lot of hyperbole when people dont like movies. But this fucking sucked so hard. absolutely awful. how it has some what good reviews is litterally mind blowing to me. I was just laughing the last 30 minutes because it was so painfully awful.
Ladies and gentlemen, we got him! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/paul-haggis-arrested-sexual-assault-174444238.html
Finally got my Apple TV+ problems fixed so I was able to watch Cha Cha Real Smooth. I would highly recommend. Also, the lead actor/director/writer's first feature film, Shit House, was really good too.
Just didn’t make much sense at all. Seemed like a way to just show that contractors got away with stuff in the Middle East.
The Black Phone did not live up to the hype for me. Still not bad or anything, and better than most modern day horror movies, but it's just alright
Small world, watched it today. I knew nothing about it going in other than it was supposed to be good. I was surprised at how much I laughed and how emotional my response was to it.
Is it that bad content wise/gore? My 12 year old asked if I would take him. It doesn’t SEEM that horrendous content wise.
I dont have kids and my dad had me watching nightmare on elm street at age 8 or 9 sooooo Spoiler the main story is about a captured kid trying to escape his capturer it's much more about the kids than it is the creep/ethan hawke there are maybe a few scenes that have blood in it but it's not over the top horror violence
I wonder if they mentioned the fact that Elvis was a pedophile, groomer, and had a weird obsession with virginity. That's on top of stealing black culture.
Appreciate your trying to make me look like a dumbfuck. I'm 43 years old and was aware. the FILM itself was well done. Best watch I've seen in over 15 years.
everyone can like what they want, but you're telling me the Elvis biopic is the best movie in over 15 years?
Been rewatching a bunch of Studio Ghibli films and it’s been delightful. Princess Mononoke Spirited Away My Neighbor Totoro Howl’s Moving Castle
idk if it's that they aren't normal 3 act stories or what but I can't get into any of them I wish someone could sit me down and explain them to me because they are beautifully drawn Kiki's delivery service was probably my favorite because it was the most "normal" story setup
I see that more with MNT as it’s more of an experience and case study in childhood than rising and falling action but the others are pretty straightforward. I love the stories, the fantasy, the general atmosphere and of course the animation.
I watched The Good Neighbor and then Thief(1981) in honor of James Caan last night. The Good Neighbor 5.5/10 Thief 8/10
I've been on a horror binge lately. Checking out stuff I hadn't seen yet. All ratings on a 10-point scale The Deep House - 7 Hellbender - 6 Watcher - 8 X - 8 Men - 6 Blackwell Ghost 2 - 7 Blackwell Ghost 3 - 7 Blackwell Ghost 4 - 9 Blackwell Ghost 5 - 9 Last Night in Soho - 9 For the record, I gave the original Blackwell Ghost movie a 9 as well. 5 ended on a to be continued, but 6 doesn't pick up from where 5 left from what I've read so that kinda pisses me off.
What is Blackwell Ghost? Saw Hellbender on Shudder. That movie was so close to being awesome but it just couldn’t quite get there. Agree with your score on that one.
Documentary style horror, though it's fictional work. Each is around 75 minutes long so they are quick watches. Hellbender was a good premise but not particularly well written.
Just watched Last Night in Soho and that shit is amazing. One of the best movies I’ve watched in awhile.
I watched the original Blackwell ghost last Halloween time. Thought it was good. I watched “you won’t be alone” the other night….didn’t care for it
I gave the OG Blackwell Ghost a 9. So you can get a feel for what 2-5 are like quality-wise based off that. I was going to watch that this weekend but never got around to it. I kinda wanted to watch something where I didn't have to have my eyes glued to the TV and that's kind of hard to do with a foreign language film
Watching The Black Phone rn. edit: 7.3/10 I enjoyed that. Not scary at all, so don't quite get the horror tag.
watched Cha Cha Real Smooth last night. really liked it. The performance from the main actor was really incredible, as was from the teenage daughter. Dakota Johnson continues to be bonk worthy in a half-seductive half creepy kind of way. 7.5/10
