All of mine posted were just night mode on Samsung s24. Nothing special other than clicking that one button.
Mostly just silver to the naked eye. Saw some greens briefly but never to too intense in ND. It did cover the entire sky at times
What are the reports from tonight? We’ll have to drive an hour to get someplace dark enough to see them if they’re this far south.
I set my camera up better this time and didn't even get shit here in Portland. Someone needs to get their ass kicked.
The camera power slapped into phones these days is fucking absurd I suppose there are reasons that Apple marketed their shit as a movie-making instrument for a hot minute.
I saw the sky fill with light color and it was vibrant through my phone lens but it was pretty disappointing. Then 20 minutes later it got really bright and started dancing and it was fucking magical. Even better than expected, and nothing like what I've seen in photos/videos. It just seems like something that photo doesn't translate well
From what I read the storm was much more powerful than they thought. People down here were up early trying to get meteor shower photos and got surprised by the lights too
LOL haven't looked outside, but we both live in the same neighborhood in Birmingham. I'm tired as shit, but if there's a chance I'll see something in the middle of the night, I could be convinced to make a Bad Life Decision.
Probably, I’m not an expert at all but it seems like these things being visible for us is a freak occurrence and I’m not staying up to test it out
Timing on these things is a little erratic and tough to predict, should have a better idea later I would think.
Weather depending, when it’s darkest is always best. And away from any light pollution. Looks like it may be strongest at 5 PM EDT but will still be real strong through 11 PM EDT and strong through the night.
