Are there any planned DLC at the moment or is it still too new. I’m not even through act 2 but still enjoying the side missions enough to want to keep going once the main game ends. Probably do like GoW and just go back through it
At least you can pause it and switch. I ride around with ronin but if I know I’m about to get into an area to fight I just switch up to my fully loaded Sakai armor. Also if I know it’s a bow centered story I’ll switch to the Tadayori armor.
What are you talking about? You can pause mid fight and switch armor, or in the cut scene before a duel
yes the timing for doing so is a little tight but still quite manageable travelers armor until you standoff swap to sakai while theyre walking up but before they stop moving swap to ghost after standoff
Yeah that’s tedious. Also there’s charms that are better for combat vs out of combat. It’s nice we can change on the fly but a more streamlined process would be great. Having like two saved load outs that we can quick swap to would be sweet.
i never really changed charms that often inari until i had way too many mats (i dont remember what i changed this to when i was done with it) amaterasu resolve resistance both inari shrine charms (ran more resolve before these)
ok, I see your point. I think it’s pretty convenient that they let you switch your gear out at any point, even mid battle, but I agree that pre-saved fully customized load outs would make it even smoother. Never even considered that tbh
i feel like ive put 50 hours in and im still only 36/52 trophies. I've never platinumed a game but im trying to make this my first
I’ve played some amazing games but this and GoW are just mikes above everything I’ve every messed with. I love other games but they don have shot on Ghosts or GoW
My only real gripe is it’s oftentimes tough to find individual vendor icons in the bigger hub areas you have to go solely by memory
And if ubisoft doesn’t eventually copy the shrine system to replace their dumb tower synchronization system then they’re idiots hell I’d even for BOTW’s system in an ubi sandbox assuming I even play them again
yeah one time trying to find vendors in act twos central hub and it was fast travel to GT and survivor camps from then on
Just downloaded it tonight, have 2 missions left in the Witcher’s story quest then starting this. for the platinum do you have to beat the game on a specific difficulty? Regardless, what difficulty is everybody playing on first time through? and tips.
Game is basically RDR2 mixed with AC, but with Samurais and better control and better pacing. I’m probably about 25% through
Sorta fair. Westerns are essentially America’s answer to the samurai film/story. He also makes it clear it has better pacing and controls
game is better and story is better than RDR2. Combat never feels stale and the side quest are so much deeper. Plays similar to Skyrim or AC with better fighting mechanics. game is great. If someone enjoys RDR2, Skyrim or AC then they will probably love this. I don’t really like AC, but some of the parkour stuff is similar. Quest style is similar to RDR2 and Skyrim, but GofT has better mechanics to me
There’s no difficulty requirements for platinum. Playing on hard. Gets a tad dicey sometimes but it’s not a hard game.
I couldn’t recommend GOW more. I personally didn’t find TLOU2 very enjoyable but a lot of people do. I think God of War is an all time great game
I was leaning that way anyway. Seems they made the last one more than just smashing buttons. So I’m in
The combat is simultaneously technical, visceral and incredibly fun and satisfying. It’s also beautiful and oftentimes awe inspiring and the story is amazing. I’m pretty sure you’re a dad as well and it really is the perfect gamer dad game. Really resonates
It’s why I avoided this last one, but after reading up on it, it sounds like I should Play after I finish this masterpiece.
The added wrinkle of having to switch stances mid fights to account for the different enemies was such a great call I’m sure it’s been implemented in some other game but really added an entire extra layer to the combat
Also, the effective exploration of older characters was awesome and maybe my biggest pleasant surprise about the writing of the game
Not going to for the platinum any more. Just feels like a bunch of busy work and I don't want that to tarnish my love of the game.
there’s a few obnoxious trophies so I don’t blame you my very last one was getting a kill from kick fall damage so I looked like an asshole for a solid 10 minutes trying to lure enemies to an elevated position and trying to kick them in the downhill direction
Just started playing GoT and I guess completed the intro tutorial section. My game was still downloading so I didn’t get to keep playing beyond that. Super fun and the combat is going to definitely be enjoyable.
