I don't know what kind of sand is in the sandhills, but the article says dessert sand is basically worthless. It's too round because of the wind. They need sand that was created by running water because it has sharper points.
Fuck fracking but it reminded me of the little town Genoa that got rich for a specific kind of sand they had.
