I have not posted any plays so far this year. I am up a lot so far this year. I am no professional or even close to it. I am a middle school teacher that spends a lot of times on betting football. I hope we can all win money on here. If my bets or insight help anyone out, great, if someone wants to fade me or follow...anything that helps. I will post every week for better or worse. I started with 1k. My bets are simple. 5 units is usually my highest and they are 50 bucks. They go down to .5 units = $5. As the bankroll increases, so will the unit amounts change. I will update when that happens. I know I don't bet a lot compared to some, but I take it very serious.

All lines were available in the last 72 hours

    4* units:
    Indiana +10.5
Going into week four last year I heard Michigan fans telling me how great Tate Forcier was, and how he was going to be the next Michigan Heisman winner, and how the Wolverines were back – …then week 4 arrived. Who did they play in week four last year? Indiana. The final score was 36-33 Michigan in the Big House. They should have lost. In the second quarter Indiana marched inside of the 15 yard line three times and only came away with nine points. Michigan scored with two and a half minutes left in the game to win. I think Denard Robinson is going to be great for Michigan and I think he is a perfect fit for Rich Rod’s system; the problem is that Robinson does not play defense. Michigan’s secondary is one of the worse in major college football, and it’s worse than last year. Indiana has the best passing offense in the big10. Tandon Doss (Indiana’s best offensive weapon) is going to light it up Saturday. This game is in Indiana, and it’s going to be closer than any Michigan fan could hope for. Indiana 41 Michigan 38.

Official 10/17 Card: (The NFL has been rough to me, since I started posting on here.)

    4*: Seahawks +7
The Giants showed that the Bears are not as good as their record as they exposed them two weeks ago. The Panthers were not able to do the same, however, I firmly believe that coming off of a bye Pete Carroll and the Seahawks will be able to. I could see Seattle winning this game straight up.

    3*
Bengals +4: Coming off of a bye; Falcons have the 25th best pass defense even though they have faced the Steelers without Roethlisberger, the Browns, 49ers and Cardinals...all horrendous passing teams. Drew Brees put up 365 yards on them, and the Saints should have won (lost by three in overtime after missed easy missed field goal), and Kevin Kolb threw for 326 yards and the Eagles won easily. Point being good passing teams have put up good passing numbers. Bengals are going to put up big yards through the air. This bet may be increased.

    1.25*:
Panthers +3: Are coming off of a bye, and the 49ers have been dreadful (so are the Panthers). 80% of the public is currently on the road favorite 49ers.

    2*:
Rams +3: The Bucs two losses are by a combined by 69-19 (both at home) against the Saints and the Steelers. Point being, they are not very good for being 3-2. Their only good win is against the Bengals in Cinci. I have few doubts that the Rams will win this game straight up.

Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread 4* play added (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07)

    2*:
PSU -9.5: I know Penn State is not very good this year, but they are coming off on an off week. However, Minnesota is 2-4 against D1A teams (0-1 against D1AA teams :idk:) They are 1-6 overall, and have lost four of those games by ten plus points. PSU will be number 5.

Oklahoma -3: They always beat Mizzou by 3+ points. 126-48 is the score of the last three games Oklahoma and Mizzou have faced. That is an average of 42-18. None of the last three were played in Norman (so I do not think playing in Mizzou makes much of a difference). Two of those games were on neutral sites, with one being in Mizzou. Oklahoma not only won all three games, but they covered in all three. That trend will continue on Saturday.

    2*:
Baylor -6: Baylor and Kansas State have two similarities that stick out to me. They both beat Kansas 50 something to seven, and they both were crushed against the two top ten teams they played. Difference being that Baylor lost on the road while K. State lost at home. Baylor is averaging 300 yards through the air each game. The best passing game Kansas State has faced has been Missouri State!!! The five teams they have faced that are D1A are ranked 77th, 98th, 99th, 111th, and 118th passing the football. Baylor is going to score at will through the air. I don't see Baylor stopping Kansas State but they will pull away and win this one. There is a reason why Baylor is favored against a 5-1 ranked team. Baylor has scored 30+ points in 6 of their 7 games. Baylor wins this one 38-24.

    1*:
    North Carolina +7
    Iowa -5.5
    Cal -3

    Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07)

    3*:
Seattle Seahawks -5.5: I wish I would have jumped on this at 3.5. At -4, this would be a four star play. I am very tempted to take it for 4 units now, because I think the line is going to continue to climb. Get this one now. The Cardinals rank 30th in the NFL passing the football, and 29th rushing it. They aren't much better on the other side of the ball: 26th stopping the pass and 29th stopping the rush. They have given up 20 points in 4 of the last 5 games. Only in the first game did they hold an opponent under 20. That game was against the Rams who were starting a rookie QB. Seattle, meanwhile, has score 20 points in four out of the last five games. They rank 30th in rushing the ball, but as mentioned before, the Cards are 29th stopping the rush. Seattle's other weakness is stopping the pass, but lucky again; as (and as mentioned above) the Cards are 30th passing the rock. Besides the win in week one, the Cards have only beat the Saints. In that game Brees threw 3 ints, and they lost a fumble. Seattle wins easy this week 27-13.

Hard for me to see CFB right now after my system shit the bed, but I like UNC BIG this week. Not a homer play as I had Clemson 2 weeks ago against my Heels. This matchup is one sided. I think we win 42-21 with 2 D/ST scores. Don't play anything but small, I've shifted my focus to NFL for now. BOL this week.

Damn, Bro. I don't dislike any of these plays. The ones I don't know about, I haven't looked into. Hope you didn't bump the Heels because of what I said. My college picks were a mess last week. The Heels saved my bacon. Iowa and NW are 2 of my faves, besides UNC. MSU got Iowa on deck, NW covered 18 of last 25 as a dog. Iowa giving up 81 ypg on the ground and Wiskys 82nd ranked pass D. Look out. Nice picks, BOL this week. You got a lean for tonight?

I take into account every thing everyone ever says about games, except the fans of the team I am considering. So, I did not take into account what you said about NC, although I do, however, appreciate the input. I am not thrilled by the Northwestern game, although a guy I put a lot of stock in likes them a lot. The Oregon game has gone from -21 to -27. I am blown away by that kind of movement. I originally thought about taking Oregon at 21 or 20 if it got there, just for something to watch. LOL. That didn't happen. I will just be watching this one.

fwiw, all van pelt does is basically go against the public. during one of his picks segments a few weeks ago, (maybe last week) he said that he knew a couple guys in college that ran a book, then took that book offshore and now make a ton of money. so they let him know where the money and bets are going towards for the most part

On the northwestern/ Michigan state game: it was originally one of te games I said that I did not want to go near. I blindly listened to someone I put a lot of stock in to. However, as the week went on I was more convinced in my original thinking...that I did not like this game betting wise. So I bought off of it. For one unit I usually let it ride,
but I stick to not playing my no play games each week, so I bought of of it. Now, again someone I closely follow betting loves northwestern, but I don't lose money when I stay away from my no plays.
So I'm off of it. To be blunt, I don't listen to anything van pelt says...ever. Good luck this week all. If this doesn't make sense forgive me. I'm t the bar.

Reading over what I originally posted, it does sound harsh towards SVP. I do not have anything against SVP. I meant more when it comes to betting. I do not put much stock into popular television or talk radio when it comes to betting. Last week is a prime example; my favorite game of the entire weekend was Seattle v. the Bears. Well I'm watching ESPN and Hammerin Hank talks up the Bears like its his favorite game of the week. Just because someone has a million people hear their picks does not mean they know more than you or me; and normally they are worse with their picks.
